Not a stunning pair of Bluetooth headphones, but the AKG Y45BTs are solid-sounding

The AKG Y45BTs are not perfect, but they do an impressive job for the money. They’re portable, comfortable and well made, and they sound good too. These are well worth investigating.

AKG Y45BT

 

The AKG Y45BT is a good-looking Bluetooth headphone pair with some bass response, but it has some issues with hiss when streaming.

Delivers deep bass and crisp highs without distortion. Handsome, comfortable design. Can be used in passive mode with included cable.

Can sound tinny or overly bright at times. An audible hiss is noticeable on quieter tracks. Overpriced.

It's hard to recommend the Y45BT when there are options that deliver cleaner wireless streams like the JBL Synchros S400BT, SOL Republic Tracks Air, and Harman Kardon BT, all of which offer varying levels of bass response, balance, and price. If you're...
