HP Omni 100 review

The version we benchmarked was a US model with a dual-core 1.6GHz AMD Athlon II X2 250u processor. It crawled to a WorldBench 6 score of only 70. Although the UK flavour comes with a 2GHz dual-core AMD Athlon II 170U processor, you shouldn't expect...

At some point, a company can only strip so much away from a desktop-or all-in-one-before the little joy it offers completely overshadows whatever amounts you're saving in the process. In the HP Omni 100's case, spending just a bit more can get you...

HP Omni 100-5030uk review

HP's latest all-in-one PC costs £500, which is pretty impressive for a PC with a 20in display, 4GB RAM and a large hard disk. Unlike many manufacturers, HP doesn't insist on using touchscreens across its entire all-in-one range, which saves money that...

While the absence of a touchscreen isn't a problem for an all-in-one, the underpowered processor means that the Omni 100 is designed for only light computing tasks.

HP Omni 100

HP's 20-inch Omni 100 all-in-one desktop PC has a very low asking price for an all-in-one of its size ($559, as of January 18, 2011), but its lackluster features make it hard to recommend to anyone who isn't operating on a tiny budget.

Good image contrasts deliver detail ; Wireless-N connectivity ; Inexpensive

Poor general performance ; 10/100 Ethernet connection

HP's Omni 100 is an extremely inexpensive all-in-one PC, but if you spend a little more elsewhere, you'll get a better deal.

HP Omni 100

The Omni 100 has six USB 2.0 ports, which is plenty even with the wired keyboard and mouse (I would have liked to seen a wireless keyboard and mouse). There's a 6-in-1 digital media card reader, a Webcam, Ethernet port, and audio ports on the system....

Compact all-in-one. Attractive design. Great bang for buck. Speedier than Atom-powered desktops. Tool-less, easy to get into, chassis

Not true 1080p HD. Only 60-day Norton Internet Security. Wired keyboard and mouse. A bit of bloatware

With a great bang-for-buck proposition and attractive design, the HP Omni 100 has an all-in-one allure that may make you take a pass on the tower PCs with bundled monitor. It's less complex than its stable mate the HP TouchSmart 310, but these days...

HP Omni 100-5130UK

It is so easy to set up, even for a technophobe like me. The large screen is great to watch films on and the whole thing, being an all-in-one, is a great space saver too. Even better, it is so quick to start up - not like my old one which took an...
