Networking died

small

The built in network card burned out within the first 6 months, which is a big problem when you consider only 2 PCI slots. Also, the TV out is especially difficult under linux if you're making a MythTV

cheap choice for htpc

I was trying to build a htpc system for as cheap as possible and use old drives to save money. But an old 16x DVD-ROM was barely too long to fit. I also bought a SATA adapter to use an IDE drive (wasnt positive when purchasing it would boot to IDE HD,...

Small and nice looking, although the cpu fan is somewhat loud I wouldn't really call it an annoying loud except when posting, so overall its not as bad as some people have made it sound and can be easily fixed. Will show bios screen and all on TV-out....

IDE Cables almost totally block power supply fan airflow, Not much room to work in. Would be really nice to put a second HD in but only 1 internal bay for HD and 1 for your optical drive. Slots that hold on faceplate easily damaged ; I might need to...

great machine

newegg rules!

Very great machine, very small, cool, quiet, and has a load of options....this is not a gamers rig but does everything else you could want it to, i would love to buy a few more

CPU runs a bit warm in my opinion, im used to my p4 3.0E running at 108-120 degrees F, and in the pundit it runs about 130-150 under heavy load, to be expected i guess no big deal :)

Noisy

I've built 6 pundits. The original pundit with a northwood P4 proc runs the fan at a beautifully quiet 1875rpm and the cpu is only 96 degrees. However, Newegg doesn't carry northwood anymore, and the new prescott processors are power hogs and run much...

Very nice form factor, built in card reader, fast. This used to be my favorite system because it was quiet, but this is no longer the case

NOISY! fan runs at 3515rpm w/intel prescott P4. Worse is that there is not enough hysteresis in the smart fan controller so the rpm is constantly, and annoyingly varying. SATA cable included has 2-L connectors instead of 1-L and 1-straight, making it...

Big Disappointment - Noisy

Configuration: Pentium 4 3.0GHz Prescott, 2x512GB Corsair, 250GB Maxtor SATA, NEC-3550A DVD. I loved the original asus pundit and ended up purchasing 6 of them. I loved them because they were quiet, fast, and easy to assemble. YOu would never know I...

Small form factor is inconspicuous sitting on the desktop, if you can stand the noise ; Very fast with the HT Pentium 4

This is a very noisy system and is nothing like the original Pundit. It is as loud as a typical tower system, and is not a system for a quiet room ; The SATA cable included in the box is unuseable. It does not resemble the one in the picture in the...
