Apple's 2.8GHz, quad-core MacPro puts in an excellent performance
Great new processors Extremely capable graphics card Runs almost silently 18x optical drive Good bundled software
No Blu-ray Expensive Only one optical drive No form factor improvements Could use more SDRAM
Apple's mid-2010 refresh brings us three new models of the Mac Pro – the top-of-the-range tower format Mac aimed at professionals and high-end users. The one we're reviewing here is the entry-level model at £1999, based around a 2.8GHz quad core Intel...

With gorgeous looks and awesome power, the Mac Pro is the ultimate creative machine

Known as a brilliant innovator, Apple is technically the largest producer of computers in the United States and also in many other parts of the world. Right from the start, Apple has been up right there on the top when it comes to production, sales,...
The Mac Pro is hence an incredibly powerful system that has all the latest technology and features in it. It comes with a very huge price tag, but still everything in it is worth the huge amount. You have already made a great choice if you have gone...

Eight cores, two processors and storming performance: Apple's latest desktop is the first dual-core Penryn workstation we've seen.

You can't tell from the outside that Apple's new two-socket, eight-core Mac Pro, based on Intel's new Nehalem Xeon CPU, is much changed from the two-s...
Fast, green, silent, rugged, expandable
Expensive
If my take is right, then the 2009 Nehalem Mac Pro hardware platform, once purchased, is one that should stay stable and upgradable until, say, PCI Express 3 becomes an imperative.

Apple Mac Pro (Winter 2009)
Best-in-class desktop design; interior makes upgrades and parts replacement simple; strong performance on HD video and 3D rendering thanks to new Intel CPU and faster RAM
Relatively slow performance on programs such as Photoshop that rely on single-core CPU speed; we wish it had eSATA instead of FireWire 800 for external hard-drive connections.
Apple's new eight-core Mac Pro demonstrates marked improvements over the older model in high-intensity digital media and multitasking scenarios. We also love the design tweaks that improve on Apple's already industry-leading sensibilities. Any...

Apple Mac Pro Desktop Full Review. Check out best price, specs details, design, performance, pros, cons and verdict by expert.
It is designed fabulously and exceptionally well ; Comes with a lot of expansion ports ; Has twin GPU’s to it ; Gives terrific performance ; Has a removable SSD feature
Has few internal expansion possibilities missing ; Doesn’t support dual ; Lacks an optical disc drive which is a disadvantage ; The price is a bit on the higher side compared to the features ; Has 8th ; CPU instead of the 12 chip

Apple has given some long overdue love to its desktop range. While it doesn't come with the same fanfare as an iPhone launch, significant updates were rolled out today that are bound to make creative professionals happy.

The new Mac Pro is the final Macintosh in Apple's line-up to make the transition from PowerPC processors to Intel processors. Based on Intel's 64-bit Xeon CPU, the Mac Pro has two dual-core processors - four cores in total, like the "Quad" G5....
Blisteringly fast, Extremely quiet, Four SATA II drive bays and fast PCIe, Excellent value vs. Xeon-based PC workstations or Quad G5, error-correcting memory should be more reliable, Runs Windows XP and Windows applications at full speed
Standard GeForce 7300 GT video card has tearing issues in gaming and vastly underperforms comparable PCs with decent cards, Airport and Bluetooth are extra-cost options, FB-DIMM memory is expensive, Incompatible with "Classic" Mac applications and with...
The Mac Pro is blisteringly fast, yet very competitively priced with Xeon-based PC workstations
