The Acer Veriton X270 does a fine job of combining attributes that rarely work well together: tiny, inexpensive, and fast. This compact (315x100x265mm) PC raises the bar for sub-£500 mini-systems, offering impressive functionality and performance ...

Acer's Veriton X270 (VX270-ED7400C) does a fine job of combining attributes that rarely work well together: tiny, inexpensive, and fast. This compact (3.9 by 12.4 by 10.4 inches) PC raises the bar for sub-$500 mini-systems, offering impressive ...
Great price-to-performance ratio ; Stylish exterior
Can't handle demanding games ; Generic input devices lack oomph
Of course, if that's the X270's biggest flaw, this miniature system clearly has a lot going for it. You can connect a wide range of devices, add components, and accomplish many living-room PC tasks, all while enjoying the fastest performance of any ...

Acer's Veriton X270-ED7400C seems tailor-made for the struggling economy. It's a business PC that only costs $500, but it provides a better experience in running a business than a nettop or netbook. The Veriton eschews some features to hit its low ...
Compact chassis. eSATA port. Sub-$500 business PC. Expandable. No power brick. HDMI port. Comes with both Vista Business and XP. Easy to service
Processor lacks Intel VT (Virtualization Technology) and TXT (Trusted Execution Technology). Comes with some crapware. Relatively short standard warranty
The Acer Veriton X270-ED7400C is a simple, cheap business desktop, a great choice for a proprietorship or small partnership with light business needs and a modest budget.
If you were considering the Acer Aspire X1700-U3700A as a potential system...

I like this machine. One reason I chose it is that it comes with a "downgrade" from Vists Pro to XP Pro, and my network was all XP Pro. I had no experience with Vista, and had heard lots of negatives about it, so I was prepared to use those XP Pro disks....
Small, quiet, fast. Vista Pro surprisingly good! Acer support is responsive
Installed Vista Pro has problems. Review would have been 5 stars without the software problem

I purchased 4 small form factor Veritons to replace aging but similar desktops. I prefer small desktop systems in an office to keep computers off the floor for protection from vacuums, and for the ease of installing discs and USB devices without bending....
