11 years and still going strong!!!

Best and longest lasting speakers I even bought in the low price range. Pair these up with a decent entry-level sound card or DAC and you have a solid system that will last you many years and different configurations. Due to limited room, I'm currently...

Bought back in 2004 since I really wanted a 7.1 system for gaming. Couldn't afford the Gigaworks system so settled on these. They've been going strong for 11 years and still playing metal music and techno like they were bought yesterday. Nice bass and...

Not really a con, but these obviously can't compete with powered studio monitors or a good 2.0 system (those cost more). Sound becomes muddy after you crank up the volume but these were never intended to blast music

7 Years Strong

7 Years STRONG ; That's right... bought in 2006, it is now 2013 and still works perfectly just like the day I bought it ; I recently upgraded my sound card to Xonar STX from onboard and it really brought out the sound which made me go look for the...

SWEET!

if your gonna spend money on speakers might as well buy this instead of a 5.1 because it's pretty much same price and this is more next generation proff.

SOunds really good in movies!!! Music is pretty good, haven't tried games yet. Really easy access to turn on and off and volume control

could have a little longer cords

2.5 years and still thumpin!

Seem to be the only 7.1 speaker set that newegg sells.

Sounds great on my sb X-Fi ; Seen reviews that it only lasted 12 months or so.. but mine are still sounding great 2 and a half years after purchase! I would reccomend

No stands come with it, but hey, for this price? it's cool

Grrrrrrrrrrrrreat

It has a little sound controller and you can plug headphones into it. Sometimes my headphone jack didn't work and i'd get sound from my headphones AND my speakers (instead of just headphones) and I looked into it more and I noticed that my foot would...

Great speakers...but then again I moved up for 2.1 14w CyberAcoustic Speakers that were $15 at Radio$hack ; Loud but luckily my rig is in my basement so you can't really hear it from the outside ; I got these last christmas for $56 shipped ; Nice bass,...

This Isn't a con with the speakers but ; I used onboard audio because it was 8 channels so it should have been able to run this fully. It only ran it "half way" because in some instances i'd only 2.1 sound. To fix this I got the $30 Soundblaster Audigy...

Happy for over 2 years

Anybody having problems with the fact it is not playing in rear speakers... You have to set the rear channel properties on your sound card. They need to be sent audio, the speakers won't up-convert 2.1 to 7.1 (they will do 5.1 up-convert though).

Sound is fairly high quality and very loud. Speakers look nice

Lots of wires... After about a year the volume knob started having problems holding steady volume when set in the middle of dial. Just use the sound card to control volume now (leave speakers on full). If you need true 7.1 you need extra cables not...

7.1 Speakers

when I first set this product up, the unit wouldn't turn on. After wiggling the "remote connection," which turns the unit on, it powered up but there was no audio. After continuing to play with the same connection, I was finally able to get audio...

Full 7.1 surround sound support. Good sound quality, even at high volume levels. The price is a pretty good value as well

Doesn't come with a true 8 channel audio cable, the sound card end is 6 channel (5.1) and the speaker end is 8 channel (7.1). The cable actually connects the rear speaker audio to the side channels. You must purchase an additional 3.5mm male to 3.5mm...
