At only 15mm thick the BenQ V2420H is much slimmer than a conventional, CCFL-backlit LCD monitor. LED lighting also means the BenQ V2420H delivers better contrast than a regular monitor, with a claimed 10,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. The screen's...
BenQ's super-thin BenQ V2420H LED monitor has lower power consumption and higher contrast levels than a regular CCFL-backlit LCD monitor. Combined with its sleek and stylish design, it is a well-rounded product. Picture quality is merely good rather...

Thin but large widescreen monitor The Benq V2420 is a 24in widescreen LCD monitor, priced competitively at about £190. It has an LED backlight and a high resolution but otherwise thereâs not ...

Adding a 24in monitor to your iMac, MacBook or Mac Pro is tempting, but given that the Apple version costs 649 (552.34 ex VAT), it's not always affordable. Happily, there are some budget options available
For 191, the BenQ is good value, but if you watch a lot of movies and TV on your screen, it might be best to go for the slightly more expensive V2420H version, which has an HDMI port and a headphone jack for 196. Stylish good looks can only carry you...

This slim, LED-backlit LCD monitor from BenQ is stylish but requires tweaking for best colour performance
Super-thin and exceedingly stylish, low energy consumption
Dynamic contrast is imperfect, poor static black levels, slight green colour bias in default settings

The BenQ V2420H is a capable 24-inch monitor that won't stress your utility bill.
Slim, stylish cabinet. Energy efficient. Good color and dark grayscale performance.
Wobbly, tilt-only stand. Lackluster feature set. Mediocre viewing angle performance.

BenQ V2420H
Overall, the BenQ V2420H performs well and has minimal backlight clouding.
In our DisplayMate tests, the BenQ V2420H shows noticeable color scaling issues. Featurewise, the V2420H is bare bones with too high of a price when compared with its better performing competition.
The BenQ V2420H is an adequately performing monitor, but it isn't worth its high price when compared with the similarly priced, but superior performing competition.

This LED backlit monitor looks real good externally, but visual performance can be described as anemic.

Back in the day, when the typewriter went out the window and I started using a ‘word processor', I was more concerned about if what I wrote made sense, rather than if the resolution of the screen was good enough.
Nice finish, nice wide screen, good energy efficiency
Sharpness is found wanting, have to manually adjust settings
