ZyXEL CloudEnabled IP Camera (IPC4605N)

 

The ZyXEL CloudEnabled IP Camera (IPC4605N) is a decent piece of hardware, but without good accompanying software it functions as no more than a large, expensive personal webcam that lets you share video streams with friends.

Feature-packed IP camera. Can connect wirelessly. Can remotely pan and tilt.

Web-based software and included video surveillance software both lacking.

The iSecurity interface is easy to navigate, but I found it somewhat lacking. For instance once you log in to the cloud service, the "Login" button remains at the top of the screen. This was confusing as I moved around the interface: Unless I was on...

It actually seems like a well made device with some very poorly written software. Unfortunately the software is required and there is no way to bypass it or the isecurity+ (must every word have an 'i' in front of it now?) which I suspect is what killed...
