Good buy

Haven't seen any issues the other people are having. Make sure you keep the firmware up to date.

Visually it looks good. External detachable antenna if you need to upgrade it. Good range, I have it running through several walls and a garage and no lag. A good deal for the price

No night vision or wireless N, but I knew this before I bought it

No complaints for $40.

Resolution $40 worth, more than adequate for intended good-light/static-viewing purposes. Signed up for a Price-Alert, $40 I'll take 2 more.

40, does what you paid for ; Wireless works, no drops/reboots, stable. Remote access via TRENDnet web app works, but slow (given you'll be using an external app anyway)

Didn't even bother on bundled software, using webcamXP with motion detecting - set up to sends email alerts, records video locally and upload stills to my smartphone. Continuing experimenting/testing on what software/cam can do

This Is How I Got Mine To Work

Both wired and wireless models of this camera are working without a hitch under my current setup. This is how I did it. 1) Dug out my old Linksys BEFSR41 router. Reset it to the factory default settings. 2) Connected my laptop to the router with cat-5...

Decent camera when you catch it on sale for $60 or less. 640x480 resolution with 30 fps. Works with Zoneminder. It's been on 24 hrs for almost 3 weeks and has not crashed under 64-bit WEP (although 64-bit WEP is not the best security, my old Netgear...

Poor picture quality with any lighting dimmer than bright sunlight. Could not switch to lower resolutions with Zoneminder. Default IP address is 192.168.10.30. If the camera's hardware or software was able to detect or let me enter my home router's...

Works sometimes

Good if you want a camera that can upload to an ftp server, but if you're looking for a camera that works over wi-fi you may want to consider a different TRENDNet model. I work as a hardware technician and operate my own linux based server, so I have a...

I was able to setup a ProFTPD server and have the camera upload video to it while wired. Did not require any software besides what was built-in to the camera to do so. Picture quality is ok for the price

Wireless was very unreliable and was unable to stay connected to my wireless access point. I tried using a slower WRT54G instead of my D-Link DIR-825, tried WEP/WPA/WPA2 and both AES/TKIP. Nothing worked. I eventually used the wired port, which worked...

Pure frustration and a waste of money

I think this thing is pure garbage and I'm pretty mad that I own it. I used to have a neutral to good view of TRENDnet, I'm not sure I could bring myself to buy anything they make again.

It has potential

Locks up during setup constantly ; Reset button doesn't reset it ; I've spent hours trying to make this work ; Doesn't support secure email authentication

Barely functional and horrible range

Took a shot, but a waste of sixty quid. Three-year old thought it was fun to watch the delayed, jerky image of his moving self.

One of the cheapest wireless cameras

Terrible range-one wall and about 15 feet max (three times worse than the worst laptop I own) ; Poor quality picture ; Manual focus is finicky ; Drops frames, locks up

Perfect for my needs

This camera was in my price range. It requires little attention once that it is set up. I scrapped the monitiring software that came with it and used the free Vitamin D software that does a much better job of motion sensing recording. You can still...

Bundled recording software is cumberson to use

I fixed the lockup problem

I have fixed the lock up problem for my application. I bought a power controller that allows me to turn on and off electrical appliances and lights. I set a timer and wrote a macro for the controller. Every night the controller turns off the power for...

It has motion detection

The camera constantly locks up. I have a wired camera, TV-IP110, and it locks up too

TERRIBLE

Avoid this model if you need a wireless network camera.

Inexpensive. Image quality is on par with your average cheap wired USB webcam

Everything else is a con. The wireless connection was lost after 20 minutes on the first run, and then never stayed connected more than a few seconds after that without a reboot. I bought five of these TV-IP110W for a linux based home surveillance...

Good product, planning to get a second

Love the wireless. Managed to get this on sale, but is decent item for the price either way. The images are quite good and connection was very quick. I was easily able to assign a static IP using the directions from the site. Recording software worked...

I haven't used a lot of the recording features, but I can indeed see a need to reset the recording program periodically. I think if you set the program up on a script to shut down and restart once a day, you'd have little or no problems, but I realize...
