If you are using this camera with Synology Surveillance Station..beware the Purgatory of the Codec Jungle. Windows Media does NOT see/hear the default audio Codecs. You will hear sound INSIDE the browser Surveillance Station with the default codec such...

In my previous Post I thought there was NO Microphone. It IS there-- but INSIDE Surveillance Station app, you have to TURN ON the Mic. If it isn't turned on INSIDE the app, your PC, WIndows or Linux, hears nothing

The camera or the manufacturer website could use better assembly instructions
