Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000

Want better quality video calling? Logitech has the answer.

An impressive webcam that easily justifies its premium price. It can capture and record high resolution images, and gives excellent pictures and sound in video calls. Being that bit more portable than the bulky Ultra Vision, the Pro 9000 is my new...

Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 webcam

Logitech's latest webcam promises to pack a real punch and make keeping in touch with your family or friends a real doodle, but does it? We get video calling to find out. The Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 sits at the top end of the company's webcam...

Picture quality, software features, sound, stand

Cable not long enough, expensive, not Mac compatible

But overall at around £55 while this is one of the more expensive webcams on the market, the build quality and performance are worth the expense.

Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 review

An already good product, the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 is made better by a 2Mpl Carl Zeiss lens. It also boasts RightLight technology which automatically helps to boost image quality in unpredictable lighting conditions.

The Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 is a bit pricey for a webcam, but the extra money does get you better quality results overall.

QuickCam Pro 9000 review

Superb camera let down by the lack of software support.

Solid, nicely finished, Carl Zeiss lens, excellent all-round performance

Software is Windows-only

It’s a bit pricey, but the extra money does get you better quality results overall.

Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000

This is far more than an average web cam , to start with it's 2mega pixel and it has a Carl Zeiss lens. It works well in poor light and it has a great auto focus capability.

Review: Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000

Don Bradbury tries out a full-featured, modern webcam for your video links

Easy setup. Good functionality. Good standard image and audio quality

Zooming was achieved digitally (see body text)

The combination of Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 and Windows Live Messenger worked well for most of our linkups once we had setup working correctly. It's not a cheap device, this Pro 9000 webcam, but we think it pays off when you can make use of its ample...

Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000

Stellar image quality and straightforward software combine to make the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 webcam unbeatable.

Two-megapixel sensor. Excellent image quality, even in low-light settings. Extremely fast autofocus. Amazingly accurate auto-exposure. Stylish capture software not overly intrusive.

Limited range of movement. Bundled software doesn't offer advanced features like remote monitoring or security. Autofocus occasionally locks up.

The software lets you apply a small selection of avatars, "face accessories" (beards, crowns, and the like), and image filters to your visage. The avatars are particularly fun: The software maps your eyes and mouth, then applies your head and face...
