Review: Logitech Alert 750i series

CCTV is for drug dealers and corporations. if you want to keep an eye on the house while gone, get one of these rigs.

Very good video quality. Email alerts let you know when something’s shakin¿. Surprisingly powerful camera management and video playback software. iPhone app is a killer (and free) feature

Cameras are unavailable more often than not; powerline networking system frequently struggles. Cameras struggle when various light levels (say, windows and shadows) appear in the same shot

Logitech Alert 750i Master System Review

Even though, we live only fifteen miles from downtown Seattle, my family and I live (in some peoples' opinions) out in the sticks. We live at the end of a long gravel road. We can not see our neighbors or the county road we live on. My wife and I worry...

Quick & Easy Setup ; Intuitive/Useful software ; Web viewing via multiple platforms/OS's ; PC-free recording ; Expandable ; Motion-Triggered Alerts and Recording

Windows-only ; Not wireless ; Requires an accessible outlet ; Cameras occasionally need to be reset (only happened to me once so far)

I liked the Logitech Alert 750i Master System so much, I decided to use it as our primary security system for our home. But that meant greater video coverage. So (as I stated above), I purchased the Logitech Alert 700e outdoor add-on camera to augment...

Review: Logitech Alert 750i security cam

Logitech aims for a simple but flexible home security camera system.

Good video quality ; Simple powerline Ethernet ; Web and iPhone access ; Wide viewing angle

Disappointing motion detection ; Low-gain microphone ; Relatively expensive ; No Mac desktop app

Hardware and setting upBoth of the 750 series systems offer identical HD video quality, while the 750i we're reviewing today is the indoor model and the 750e is the waterproof and night vision enabled outdoor version. Since both the 750i and 75

Mixed feelings

VIEWING from web/smartphone is free, CONTROLLING from web/smartphone is $80.

Video quality is VERY good. Setup on PC is easy. Fairly granular/concise and advanced control. Audio quality is ok and volume (gain possibly) is controllable. Video can be flipped/rotated to accomodate for unique mounting situations. Many mounting...

Small lag when viewing from local network (1-3 Seconds), larger lag when viewing from Web/smartphone (2-6 seconds). I have set up 2 systems at 2 different locations and when setting up 1 or 2 cameras on the same circuit, I had good results. When...
