Linksys has a pan, tilt and zoom IP camera at an amazing price, but is it too good to be true?
With a DHCP server on the case, installation is a cinch as you just read the IP address from the front panel and enter it into a web browser. Alternatively, you can use the bundled setup wizard utility which searches for Linksys cameras and takes you...

No it's not a movie with Sid James in it, but the latest wireless PTZ webcam from Linksys. Fancy keeping an eye on the kids, your pets or even work colleagues while you're away? Then the new Linksys WVC200 may have the answers if you have the patience.

I enjoy Linksys / Cisco product and usually find them to be high quality. The casing on this camera is nice and the interface is much like any other linksys product.
Ability to aim camera via web browser, wireless worked great. Audio with video was nice. High frame rate.
High res and high quality is not impressive.

High res and high quality is not impressive ; Camera is not sensitive to low light dispite what the box says ; After being on for an hour or two grey dead spots started showing up in the output ; Rebooting the camera did not fix this ; Does not support...

Camera works well. Setup is not as difficult as people say. IP address displays on LED screen. Camera has built in webserver. You can type IP address in your browser and set it up online. You just have to hard wire it to your network before you turn it...
Does not support WPA2 security (very sad for a newer product). Webserver not compatible with iPhone. You can configure it but cannot view the video.

Motiion detection produces lots of false positives -- emails with ~1MB attachments when there has been nothing moving in front of the camera. It will fill your mailbox, especially if you set the sensitivity too high. At night, the image "noise" is a...
It works. Image quality is acceptable. Sensitive to infrared illumination.
Emailed videos, as a consequence of enabling motion detection, are unviewable in Vista. What's the point if you cannot use this for unattended intruder detection! The device emails a ".ASF" video file which will not play in Vista's Windows Media Player...

Buy used and\or test it *first* or don't buy it at all.
While it all works it's a great bang-for-buck product
Quirky. Most people will be unable to get all their desired functions to work. Camera seems 'unstable' - crashes, loses connection, etc

I'm connecting this wireless to a WRK54G router which I've changed from the standard configuration and I still had no problem. I plugged it in to a hard line, logged in on my ROUTER to view the DHCP clients, and found it. Then I logged into the camera...
Setup was easy. I had it operating (via a hardline) within 5 minutes of opening the box
Wireless setup was straightforward, however they didn't mention in the instructions that you must unplug the wired connection, power off, then back on for the wireless to initialize

Tech Support issues? I dont think its Lynksys - its the outsource of support and they cannot understand us, nor we them. Another great NAFTA deal.... get support back in the USA
Great Cam for the money - everything works just right!
