Consumer review (newegg.com)

It kinda works

It's tilt and swivel

Acquiring video from applications seems to lack a standard for interoperability ; There is a less than optimal web interface with plug-ins ; The user-presets don't appear to be able to be selected as default home if the device is powered off and on...

Amazing Camera

It definitely worth the money.

Very easy to setup most of the part and the free access from the Internet is very nice. Great quality

I still can't the email client to setup to send me notifications

Great wireless home camera

I see others have had problems setting up the camera. One does need to know how to set up a wireless device on a LAN network, SMTP/FTP settings and such. I can vouch that this device does work properly if you understand the before-mentioned technology....

This camera has great web server software. It will stream a very decent quality video stream to your browser. One can log into the camera's web server with a mobile phone like an iPhone and it will actually stream video to Safari. It can email, text or...

Not much really. At this price, you really can't ask for much more

Panasonic BL-C131A

Once working it's a decent camera and does what it is supposed to do

It's a bear to set up to your liking...and I still haven't figured out the pre and post trigger image settings. I also can not get it to connect to my Linksys router if I have wireless security set up. It will only connect when I have wireless security...

Best consumer camera I've used...

The power brick and camera can get pretty hot which makes me wonder about the long term reliability (the first one we bought is now about 2 yrs old).

This is the second BL-C131A I've bought, and other than one being DOA, they have been a joy to own

Low light ability is poor - but it's not advertised as being great, and doesn't have a light source

Panasonic BL-C131A

Just a poor, poor experience. The software that ships with this camera constantly locks up and was obviously written by someone with little or no English skills. Bad grammar, hanging text and many times it refers to information that is not even...

Nice compact design. Well made hardware. Typical great Newegg service

The entire user experience. Just plain awful in every way

Amazing network cam

I think I'll buy a second one for front door surveillance.

The camera was a breeze to setup. If you are computer savvy, you won't need the instructions, just a little common sense. The camera gets great wireless reception throughout my apartment, especially the baby's room (the most important spot). The web...

Price could be lower. 802.11N would have been nice

Better than expected

I dunno, this is my first pet cam, but I'm very impressed with the camera and tech support.

The pros for this camera are a lot. It is very customizable, has a detailed menu/setup/control panel. The phone tech support is outstanding. I've owned very little Panasonic stuff, and it was great to speak to a human who really understood what they...

The only con I found was the lack of an instant record button. Although you can set it up to trigger on heat, motion and time. I just wish it had a record instant button

Wireless IP camera with pan, tilt, zoom, sound

This camera is perfect for anyone wanting to keep an eye on things while away.  You can set it up to be viewed by all, or just yourself, via internet or even your cell phone.  You can set up timers, sensors, or motion to be recorded in the buffer, or...

You don't even need a computer on site, once you have set up the camera/s

None

Inexpensive Wireless PetCam

I've used this camera for over a year and have been very pleased with its performance.

Phone support; WPA2 security; free dynamic DNS; accessible from mobile phone; built-in

Poor low-light performance; no video recording
