Works for my Needs

I use these as wired only, so I have not reviewed the wireless performance. I have purchased 3 of these on 3 different occasions with no troubles on any. The provided software is clunky and hard to use. I prefer 3rd party BlueIris software since one...

price (on sale), features, custom setup, PTZ

color reproduction, provided software, gets hot, PTZ noisy, most camera setup and features are accessible only in Internet Explorer (ActiveX)

Good Product

This is a good product. All the features work as they should. The EMail feature and the FTP are cool. The digital zoom is ok at best, if you adjust the zoom box. The motion detection works if you adjust the peramaters. I had to play around for awhile...

Pan/Tilt,Wireless,Email/FTP,Price $99

Colors,Wireless range,Night Vision though windows, Very poor software documentaion. Cannot get to save to Win 7 folders on the HHD other than FTP. XP works fine

Disappointing

I initially thought I'd like this camera, but once I figured out that motion detection doesn't work, it became useless as a security camera and the second camera I have is sitting in the unopened box. If the motion detection feature worked properly,...

Has OK picture. Good range of motion and reasonably fast moving

I bought 2. First unit failed in about a month. I put up the second camera in its place and eventually got a replacement for the first one. Motion detection plain does not work. The lights where I have this in are motion sensitive and sometimes turn on...

ABS MegaCam 4220

For the money with the Blue Iris software these cameras are by far the best. IP Cam viewer for the Android. Make sure you update your firmware imediately fter getting the camera to Software Version 3.0.3.3454

Great camera for the money. I have eight of these hooked up and they work great and have very good clearity. I recommend using Blue Iris software for the video capture. These cameras do work wireless but as with any wireless they are better wired. I...

Horrible software, horrible instructions

ABS MegaCam 4220

It's junk, spend the money and get a real security cam, takes the stress out.

You can network it very easily without using the instructions, but if you want to use it wirelessly, I'd say, Major league FAIL! I don't think a rocket scientist could figure out the junky instructions ; Daylight use with the lens itself stinks, no...

It's Cheap and kind of works... wired

Meh

As others have complained, the purple cast is annoying to say the least. my tan couch? Purple. My son's brown shirt? Purple. Grass? Purple. At $249 list, this thing should at least get color reproduction down. When on sale for $99, I can understand as...

Price (when on sale), Pan/Tilt functionality, Wireless capability

Price (when not on sale), Purple cast to many colors(browns, blues, greens, tan), next-to-useless motion detection, minimal (I haven't found any) 3rd party video monitoring software compatibility (go1984.com as one example), hardware reliability (one...

Marginal product

Seems many manufactures of these products have bad reviews. I've heard Panasonic makes the best ones, however they are a much more expensive.

Price, when it's on special. Controls via software are good. Night vision OK. Wireless range seems good

Picture quality and color reproduction are pretty bad. Clunky web interface. Absolutely useless motion detection. It seems to detect at the slightest motion or nothing at all even when an 18 wheeler drives by. The ability to select a portion of the...

Worthless product

I'm sure there are some, but given that my camera could only be connected to for about 2 minutes after booting I never was able to discover the pros

Never could get the camera to function properly. Camera would boot. About 1 out of ever 10 boots, I'd be able to locate the camera via the IP Wizard software. Once located, I would attempt to configure (either via IP Wizard or Internet Explorer). After...

Great for the price

Blue Iris software works great with this camera! Would be great if it was weather resistant for outdoor use

good picture ; PTZ ; night vision ; many options ; wireless ; sound ; tech support ; got in 1 day on free shipping

software not so great ; poor manual ; not compatible with many 3rd party software packages

Nice features for price... not perfect

My camera is setup to monitor the front door through a windows and those darn status lights are soooo bright... I guess i'll tape them with duct tape... I wish there was a setting to turn them off...

Can't beat the features for the price. Has almost everything you would want and ask for

Low color and video quality. Why is my grass purple? Could not solve this mistery... But If I wanted perfect quality I would have gotten some Axis cameras... just at least 5 times more expensive
