Guess Whose Mum Found a Whirlpool?

Found my machine on a neighbor's nature strip today with a sign saying "Still Working but Leaks During Spin Cycle" The machine doesn't look any more than a couple of years old. Looking at the reviews on here its no wonder it was junked. But if it works...

Not a bad product

I bought this washing machine in approx. 2008 when my partner and I first moved out it has just recently started leaking water apparently the main reason is due to having taps turned on full! they should only be half way other wise they do start to...

Simple settings not to many options to confuse people.

Can be noisy but after being over used for 5 yrs I would expect this, and of course the unfortunate leaking.

Machine leaking water GRRR!!

I hardly used this machine and one day it leaked water out of the front from where the top panel meets the body of the machine. As my machine is inside the house and under a bench it is painful. Luckily still under warranty, but have found out since...

Mixed results.

Within the 2 year warrantee period the machine wouldn't turn off at the end of the spin cycle (just kept going until stopped manually). Fixed under warrantee via local repair person with no hassle. Now just out of warrantee and the computer board has...

30 minute daily wash cycle, good water usage.

repairs, noise. No pause option or delay start.

Rusted, rusted, rusted!

I purchased this machine in January 2009 and within months the hinge started corroding. It was replaced under manufacture warranty. Not much more than a year or so after purchase rust started to appear in several places including the front seam(?)...

Quick 30min cycle washes reasonably well.

Destructive

I hate this machine. I bought it in a rush when I panicked after my old faithful Ariston frontloader broke down (8 years old and was going to cost too much to fix) and did not do enough research. It is too rough on clothes and makes them lint and look...

energy efficient, good spin

Noise, roughness on clothes, length of cycles, makes everything look old.

Good machine when new BUT…

Machine worked well when up to just out of 2 year warranty, then started to take a long, long time to complete a cycle. Standing in front of it when it begins a spin cycle the panel lights flicker (as if a loose connection) when it approaches the high...

Cleans and runs well when new

I expected the machine to last longer than a couple of years & very poor technical advice/backup

OK

I have had this washing machine for about nine months, so far I have not had a problem with it. I find it a little inflexable that you can not open the door ( even after 5 seconds) after the load starts to put in that extra sock. It is noisy, but I am...

Washes well, uses water efficiently

Can take a long time to wash, up to 2 .5 hours.

Good

All in all I like this machine (it's my first front-loader), it definately saves plenty of water and leaves the clothes extremely well washed. For the mid-range price tag, well worth the money.

Smart Sensor detects how much water is needed for each wash and how long it should wash for. Cleans everything extremely well and the low water usage (after using an old top-loading water guzzler) is excellent

Took a while to get used to the noise while spinning (like a jet engine) and it defaulted for no reason on me a few times in the first month (3 months later it's fine). Handwash option is useless (far better off saving electricity and using the sink).
