Sony's most affordable 8K TV yet
Bright and punchy picture ; Superb colours and motion ; Impressive sound
Blooming around bright highlights ; Plays even less 8K than rivals ; Missing some HDMI features
The ZH8 does a lot of things seriously well, but it makes less sense as a purchase than rival models from Samsung

The Sony ZH8 8K TV delivers outstanding picture quality and ultra-detailed sound
Expert review by : John Archer (techradar.com)
Sony's debut 8K TVs were undoubtedly excellent... but they were also expensive. Thankfully Sony is now offering a vastly more affordable 8K solution in the shape of the Sony Z8H/ZH8.
Bright, colorful pictures Powerful, detailed sound Content-rich Android TV
Limited 8K support No VRR support Android TV can be fussy
The Sony Z8H / ZH8 combines rich contrast, gorgeously saturated colors, outstanding video processing and, best of all, extreme HDR-friendly brightness, it produce the best LCD TV pictures of 2020, but its 8K support is more limited than it ought to be,...

Sony took the opportunity to announce its 2020 TV lineup before its CES 2020 press conference had even begun – and there are a bunch of 4K and 8K options
Superb picture quality ; 8K ; Impressive upscaling tech ; Dolby Vision and Atmos support
No HDR 10+ ; Pricing a mystery ; Basic stand design
We can't help but think that if you're going to plump for a TV of this size and quality, you're probably going to want an OLED. But, as ever, it'll depend on how Sony prices it.

Sony's Z8H is a killer TV, but to get the premium stuff, you'll have to step up to 8K resolution and the price that goes with it.
Incredible HDR brightness ; Deep blacks ; Accurate shadow detail ; Exceptional color ; Great sound
Some artifacts in highly detailed patterns

Sony's rawest LCD TV delivers raw sharp images, but what impresses most is the dazzling brightness!
The Sony KD-75ZH8 is a very bright and high-contrast LCD screen. It provides a hefty HDR video experience, which is some of the roughest we've seen!
The Sony screen lacks support for 8K video from YouTube, which limits access to razor-sharp content. It also does not support variable refresh rate (VRR) for gaming.
Sony’s best LCD TV is undoubtedly an impressive sight: the Z8H is not only razor sharp, but also has an extremely dazzling brightness (well over 2000 nits) and colossal contrast! The Sony screen manages to reproduce large, realistic contrast...

I had a Samsung q950r there top 8k and this Sony zh8 blows it out the water on every aspect
Consumer review (richersounds.com)
The picture & sound quality is out of this world. The 8k makes a big difference. The sound from the dolby surround sound gives it a cinema experience.
