Has Sony's big Mini LED gamble paid off?

Dazzling brightness and highlights ; Impressive height effects from built-in speakers ; Excellent local dimming on dark backgrounds

Lacks the solidity and pop of OLED rivals, including the Bravia 8 ; Sound could be weightier ; User interface can be sluggish at times

The Sony Bravia 9 has its compromises, but with the right content, it's absolutely stunning

Sony Bravia 9 Mini-LED TV Review

The Sony Bravia 9 TV is one of the best mini-LED TVs we've seen.

Excellent brightness and backlight control ; Accurate out of the box ; Superb design

Only two HDMI 2.1 inputs ; Narrow viewing angle

In either case, you’d be missing out on the Bravia’s elevated performance (especially in SDR), as well as Sony’s superior picture processing and overall design. With the QN90D in particular, you’ll also be missing out on Dolby Vision support.
