Sony X800H Review (XBR43X800H, XBR49X800H, XBR55X800H, XBR65X800H, XBR75X800H, XBR85X800H)

The Sony X800H, also known as the Sony X80H, is a decent entry-level 4k TV with an IPS panel on most sizes. It's a great TV for watching TV shows in a bright roo...

Image remains accurate at an angle. Incredibly low input lag. Good gray uniformity. Good response time. Can display a wide color gamut. Great peak brightness.

No local dimming. No advanced gaming features like VRR or HDMI 2.1. Can only remove judder from 24p sources. Mediocre contrast ratio. Might not be able to handle intense glare.

The Sony X800H is a decent overall TV. It can get bright in SDR and displays 480p, 720p, 1080p, and 4k content well with no upscaling artifacts. The viewing angles are great if you plan on putting this TV in a wide room, but unfortunately, the contrast...

Sony X800H 4K UHD TV review: This 65-inch TV has a great feature set for the price

Sony's X800H offers a good image with outstanding motion compensation, though the lack of local dimming means weak blacks. But the overall experience is top-notch thanks to some sweet interface tweaks and a redesigned remote.

Good color and overall image ; Fantastic motion handling for a 60Hz TV ; Super-fast access to your favorite apps via input select

Very weak black reproduction ; No Bluetooth A2DP support for sound output

There’s no 65-inch TV at this price point that I know of with better features than the X800H, Bluetooth excepted. However, it’s also the first 2020 TV I’ve tested and the competition below $1,000 is extremely fierce. That said, the X800H should hold...

Sony Bravia X800H review

The bright and sharp picture of the Sony Bravia X800H, along with its robust Android TV smart OS, make it one of the best mid-range TVs.

Bright and sharp picture ; Wide viewing angles ; Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos

Clunky remote ; Average color accuracy

If picture quality isn’t your highest priority and you like Amazon Alexa, the Toshiba C350 Fire TV costs less than $300, and it reproduces color better than the Sony Bravia X800H, though it’s not as bright or sharp. For Roku TV fans, the TCL 4-Series...
