Sony KDL-32W706B

A cracking 32-inch TV ideal for a bedroom or small living room

Great picture quality ; Very pretty design ; Good features and connectivity

Sound is rather average ; No 4OD or ITV Player support ; Pictures may not suit a very bright room

Getting the best out of the 32W706B’s pictures is an unusually straightforward process, for the simple reason that its X-Reality Pro image database system enables the TV to quickly recognise the sort of content coming in and choose the best picture...

Sony KDL-42W705B

Another great affordable Sony TV

Excellent picture quality ; Cute design ; Good multimedia support

Sound is only so-so ; No 4OD or ITV Player catch up services ; Pictures occasionally look slightly soft

Sony does offer a pretty wide-ranging suite of picture controls for such an affordable TV, though. But where Sony really shines compared with its competitors is with the range of picture presets it offers. These are more numerous, more intuitively...

Sony KDL-32W706B review

Best 32in TV, Awards 2014. Impressing across the board with picture, features and sound, it does more than enough to bag Sony another five stars

Natural, detailed picture Impressive contrast Rich, punchy colours Attractive, user-friendly interface Detailed sound

Nothing

With an attentive, punchy picture, decently detailed sound and a smattering of features, the KDL-32W706B is the full works with all the trimmings of a well-designed telly – eye-catching design, seamless interface and bonus accessories. In absolute...

Sony KDL-42W705B

A promising start for Sony's 2014 Full HD range, this TV performs well in many areas

Punchy picture ; Rich yet natural colours ; Deep blacks ; Good upscaler ; New, improved interface ; Slim build

Thin, sibilant sound ; Dark detail is lacking

With other screens for very little more money cropping up this year, the Sony’s price is maybe a little steep.

Sony Bravia KDL-42W705 review: Superior picture quality, mid-range price

With a reasonable price tag and top-notch picture quality, Sony's KDL-42W705 scores high in terms of value for money.

Thanks to its deep black levels and accurate colours, the Sony KDL-42W705 produces startlingly good picture quality for the price. It also has strong sound, a relatively easy to use menu system and a good lineup of ports.

This TV can sometimes be quite slow to start up and its smart TV system isn't as good as Samsung's. Also, Sony's better specified KDL-42W829 doesn't cost much more.

Despite its very reasonable price, the KDL-42W705 produces extremely good pictures thanks to its accurate colours, deep black levels and strong handling of shadow detail. It lacks the 42W829's superior motion processing and 3D support, but if your...

Fast efficient service.

Purchased and delivered within 48 hours, very pleased with ease of ordering and choice of delivery time. Found set up to be a bit complicated as quick start instructions were very limited and the one's we received were of a different model TV. Found...

Sony KDL42W706BSU W7 Series

Looks good!

TV stopped work after 2 months of receiving it from Currys. Currys not interested so stuck with an expensive TV that doesn't work.

Sony KDL32W706BSU W7 Series

It looks good in a modern setting. The picture quality is very good. There is a wide range of options available. Now I just need to master how to use them.

The sound volume varies widely from channel to channel. It is rather complicated to use if you are not using it every day.
