Sony Bravia KDL-32D3000 LCD TV

The latest Bravias are certainly packed with features, but is the KDL-32D3000 punching above its size..?

Sony KDL-32D3000 review

The future of high-definition viewing arrives, but at a high price.

Great hi-def pictures ; Good connectivity

Quite expensive

Excellent hi-def pictures, despite the comparatively high price for this 32in TV

The TV adverts may be impressive but can Sony's mid-range 32in Bravia match up to the marketing department's hype?

Extensively specified, well-made, easy to use and live with, and a sharp-looking, punchy performer – this 32in Sony is among the best out there

Another welcome improvement is the provision of three HDMIs - especially as all these HDMIs are of the v1.3 type necessary for compatibility with such 'next-gen' features as automatic lip-synch correction and the picture-boosting Deep Color system.A...

Good colours, impressive black levels, great connectivity, bags of features

Slightly expensive, motion portrayal not as good as that of its Philips rival

Well, it's about time. Sony has tried to keep us quiet with a range of 'Bravia v1.5' models in recent months, but we've really been chomping at the bit to get our hands on its new LCD TVs proper. And that day has now arrived

1080p/24fps capability, Impressive features, Good all round picture performance

Some issues with motion handling

The first of Sony's true 'next generation' Bravias is here.

Sony KDL32D3000 Review - 32" Bravia 100Hz LCD TV Test

It can be argued that Sony probably did more than any other LCD manufacturers in turning the tide against plasma TVs in the fiercely contested 40-to-42-inch segment of the flat panel market. Besides devising and executing an ingenious propaganda...

Balanced beautiful picture due to consistent greyscale profile ; Excellent shadow detail due to flat gamma tracking ; Motion Enhancer] reduces LCD motion blurring ; Very good deinterlacing (both film & video) and mixed edit handling ; Very good...

Slightly oversaturated colours painted by WCG (Wide Colour Gamut) ; Service menu access needed for greyscale calibration ; Premium price tag compared to similarly sized rivals ; Pre-fixed table top stand does not swivel ; Bland EPG and poor DTV info...

To be brutally honest, I never thought this day would come so soon, due to our stringent test criteria and uncompromising reporting style. But the Sony KDL32D3000Buy this for £588.99 at Dixons Use code '5TV' for £31.00 discount deservedly earned...

The most accomplished 32in LCD out there, at a price ..

The Sony KDL-32D3000 joins an elite pack of 32in LCD TV's that that are nipping at the heels of CRT with their standard definition performance. Add absolutely stunning HD pictures to the mix and you have an extremely accomplished flat screen.

Fabulous picture quality, in fact the best, based on Fabulous Bravia dynamics Great ex box colour balance Case not shiny!

Half decent sound through the speakers, better than the competition, but required extension sound system to take advantage of HiFi sound processing capability.

Design and use.
