Sony KDL-40LX903 review

The Sony KDL-40LX903 has a built-in Freeview HD tuner and 3D transmitter

Good looks and bombproof build ; tremendously accomplished pictures from most sources

which make the 3D performance all the more disappointing ; grating sound

If its 3D pictures were up to the job, the 40LX903 might be worth the money

Sony Bravia KDL40LX903 review

Can Sony's pricey new 40-inch 3DTV compete at the high-end?

Freeview HD tuner ; USB file support ; Full HD clarity

Mixed 3D images ; Limited networking ; Poor sound

Sony's 3D capable, edge LED-backlit KDL-40LX903 is, at £2,000, a high-end set by any reckoning.

Sony Bravia KDL-60LX903 review

This monster 60-inch 3D LCD TV is big and clever, but will cost you an arm, leg and maybe a kidney or two

Sheer picture scale ; Excellent 2D performance ; Integrated Freeview HD tuner ; Lots of power-saving modes ; Full HD resolution and 1080/24p support ; Powerful networking and unusual features

MotionFlow needs adjusting for natural pictures ; Given the price, more pairs of 3D glasses should be supplied ; Only one Scart socket ; DLNA player doesn't cater for DivX and some other popular codecs ; 3D pictures spoiled by flicker and ghosting

If money is no object, or the viewing of TV or movies is an all-consuming passion, then this feature-packed giant is definitely worth considering. It will grant you a sense of scale that can only be bettered by a visit to the cinema or a home projector...

Sony Bravia KDL-40LX903

Unlike in the world of Blu-ray players, where buying a non-3D-capable deck is fast becoming a waste of time, the jury is still out on 3DTVs. Sony's KDL-40LX903 doesn't do much to change that. LED backlighting, a Freeview HD tuner, loads of online...

BBC iPlayer, user interface, contrast, colour

Limited digital file support, too small for 3D, 3D flicker & crosstalk

A fantastic user interface, plenty of high-end features and a great user experience; what’s not to like about Sony’s latest high-end TV? 3D, that’s what. With flicker, some blur and a generally unconvincing look to 3D, it could be worth waiting a while...

Sony Bravia KDL-52LX900 3D LED TV

Sony's Bravia KDL-52LX900 is the company's top television -- for its $5499 price tag you get a 52in 3D LED TV with some seriously extensive Internet v...

Six star power rating, great Bravia Internet Video features, excellent motion control when displaying fast-moving content

Expensive, some 3D display issues

The Sony Bravia KDL-52LX900 is a very attractive, feature-packed edge-lit LED television, but its 3D decoding does leave a little to be desired. If 3D is your thing it's outclassed by competitors from Samsung and Panasonic, but as a sports-watcher's...

Sony Bravia KDL60LX900

If you're looking for a 3D monster that can play sport, then the Sony Bravia KDL60LX900 should be on your shopping list.

Huge screen ; 3D sport looks fantastic ; Understated styling ; Great selection of on-demand content

Movies aren't that convincing ; Sound not up to usual standard ; Better 3D TVs are just around the corner

Of course, bear in mind that this was also a preproduction unit and that things may change before it's released onto the Australian market.

Sony XBR-52LX900 3D LED LCD HDTV Review - Intro

The Sony XBR-52LX900 ($3999) is the creme de la creme of Sony's 2010 line-up. It has it all: built-in 3D, built-in WiFi, tons of streaming content, great picture quality, and two pairs of 3D glasses bundled in the box. Sony even managed to build a...

The Sony XBR-52LX900 is the top series in the Sony HDTV line-up, and at $3999, you're definitely paying for the privilege. How can you tell it's top of the line? Because the product name starts with XBR, not KDL. What, you want more proof? Ok... The...

Sony XBR-60LX900 3D LCD HDTV First Impressions Review - Intro

The Sony XBR-60LX900 is Sony's new flagship model, complete with built-in support for 3D. This makes it the first model available to consumers from Sony that supports 3D out of the box. It uses a set of active shutter glasses (two of which are included...

The XBR-60LX900 is Sony's first commercially available 3D HDTV, and it has a lot to prove. But it looks like it might have the chops to carry it off; we were impressed with the image quality of both 2D and 3D content, although the latter is certainly...
