Sharp Aquos LC-46LE700E 46in LED Backlit LCD TV

The Sharp LC-46LE700E now has 100Hz motion processing, so does this LED backlit LCD TV find favour with John?

Sharp LC-52LE700 review

This Sharp has some good parts, but in terms of features and performance it belongs to a previous generation

A mighty 52 inches of screen ; decent motion and solid blacks ; good Blu-ray pictures

No HD tuner or streaming functions ; low on style ; standard-def content looks rough round the edges

This looks firmly rooted in last-gen territory both for features and performance

Sharp LC32LE700 review

If you can get this Sharp online for less money, then it's worth considering, otherwise there's better out there

Full HD spec ; full array LED tech ; solid tuner ; okay sound ; natural colours

Struggles with deep, dark black levels ; bettered elsewhere for sharpness and detail

Good but not great, we’re left a little disappointed by this Sharp LED screen

Sharp LC40LE700E LCD TV review

Sharp delivers one the UK's most affordable LED-backlit TVs to date

Excellent contrast ; Good value for LED ; Rich colours ; Good colour management

Motion handling issues ; Blooming ; Soft Freeview pictures

As a 40-inch LCD TV with LED backlighting, the first thing we need to do in this review is nail what bit of the LED world it belongs to.

Sharp LC40LE700E review

We originally liked this 40 inch Sharp back in December 2009, but since then, its peers have caught it up and surpassed it

Likeable picture ; good Freeview images ; subtle colours and decent motion tracking

Blu-ray and DVD images lack clarity and fine detail ; poor remote ; narrow viewing angle

The Sharp can’t match class-leading screens, yet still produces a likeable image for a fair price

Sharp LC-46LE700E review

Sharp's first mainstream LED TV is finally here – and in many ways, it's just peachy

Local LED backlighting ; Cheap for LED TV ; Great pictures

Motion blur

Not the hero we'd hoped for, but there are enough strengths to warrant an audition

Sharp LE705

Sharp recently introduced their LCD-TVs with LED backlight with the LE600 and LE700 series, and after a few months the new LE705 LED series replaced the LE700. LE705 has a different and more streamlined design compared to the LE700 (that was reviewed...

Good picture quality; Deep black level and shadow detail; Viewing angles compared to LE700; Very low power consumption; No clouding ? at all

Out-of-box settings; Response time; Analogue SD; Inputs pointing towards wall

Sharp LC-40LE700E

The 40LE700E isn't as stylish as our previous two contenders, feels a bit flimsily built, and is also rather underwhelming when it comes to multimedia support. In fact, all it does besides allow you to connect a PC to it is play JPEGs and MP3s from a...

Dark scenes look great, colours are vibrant, good price for an LED TV

Motion blur, limited viewing angle, average audio, limited multimedia facilities, no Freeview HD

Sharp LC40LE700

In some ways an excellent budget introduction to the benefits of LED but not without its problems ..

Vibrant colours and excellent contrast

Suffers from a small amount of Motion Blur

The LC-40LE700 is a bit of a conundrum, excellent in some respects and rather mediocre in others. Worthy of serious consideration for any form of content that doesn't contain a great deal of fast on screen action; we would advise against this screen if...
