Samsung UE46ES6800

The UE46ES6800 shows that quality pictures aren't restricted to Samsung's flagship TVs.

Cutely designed, Mostly very good picture quality, Excellent online service

Backlight inconsistencies, especially with 3D, Very unhelpful picture presets, Crosstalk with 3D

Samsung UE46ES6800 review

Samsung's LED TV is a good mid-ranger

Content-rich Smart TV ; Good operating system ; Generally good pictures ; 3D glasses included

Slightly grey blacks ; Poor picture presets ; Slight motion blur ; Many apps lack quality

Samsung's ES7000 and ES8000 TVs are gorgeous to look at, innovative with their features and their interfaces, and capable of some outstanding picture quality. But they're also likely beyond the financial means of a large chunk of the TV buying...

Samsung UE46ES6800 review

A fine performer in isolation – but it has some tough competition

Handsome looks ; thorough spec ; strong picture performance ; aggressive price

Some uncertainty in 3D ; black tones could be better detailed

A fine performer in isolation – but it has some uncommonly talented competition

Samsung UE40ES6800 review

A competitive TV, but iffy backlighting loses it a star

Stylish looks ; extensive spec ; crisp, detailed and colourful images ; impressive in 3D

Iffy backlighting and no BBC iPlayer on our sample

Satisfy yourself that your ES6800’s backlighting is OK and it’s a competitive TV

Samsung UE32ES6800

A great set with great features, but faces tough competition

Good detail, contrast and colours; active 3D and glasses included; impressive features

Slight blue tint; colours can be a bit overstated; picture isn't as subtle as others

At £700, the UE32ES6800 is one of the more expensive 32in TVs around, and needs to be pretty much flawless to beat the likes of the Sony KDL-32HX753 or the Panasonic TX-L32ET5B.

Samsung UE46ES6800 review

Samsung took people by surprise with its ambitious voice- and motion-controlled ES8000 and ES7000 TVs, even if we found the results to be a bit mixed. Perhaps the most off-putting thing about those two sets however, were their high prices, as they were...

Bright punchy 2D and 3D pictures; Solid audio quality; Great Smart TV features; Stylish design; Includes 3D glasses.

Some backlight inconsistencies; Black levels could be deeper; Only three HDMI ports.

The Samsung UE46ES6800 is a very impressive overall package thanks to its sensible asking price, class-leading online features, perky 3D pictures and punchy 2D images. Only some backlight inconsistencies stop it from achieving top marks.

Samsung UE46ES6800 Series 6 Smart 3D TV review

Samsung, like many TV manufacturers, has a bewildering range of models. Even if you've already decided to discount a plasma set, there are still scores of LED TVs to choose between. See all TV reviews.

The UE46ES6800 is around £400 cheaper than the UE46ES8000, yet lacks only the motion and voice control, and doesn't have a webcam. In just about all other respects, it's pretty much its equal. There are cheaper alternatives if you don't need the Smart...

Samsung UE40ES6800 review

  (Rating Hidden)

The Samsung UE40ES6800U is a high-end 40-inch TV with an LED edge-lit, Full-HD 1080p screen, the full gamut of smart TV features and 3D. Samsung also claims that the new dual-core processor will improve its internet and media playback features, while...

REVIEW: Samsung UE46ES6800 3D TV

Samsung's ES6800 series screen rolls back the kookier features found in the top-end ES8000 range, instead focussing on delivering solid image quality. Its stripped back feature list matches its mid-range price tag, but does it rob the ES6800 of all...

Though a little more rough around the edges than the ES8000 series, the ES6800 represents good value for money. Image quality is strong for the price range, and there's a superb selection of Smart TV content on offer. Some will argue that the ES8000's...
