Samsung QE65QN800B

The Samsung QE65QN800B is an extraordinary watch in the right circumstance, it's just those circumstances are still rather thin on the ground

Corking picture quality with native 8K content ; Great gaming compatibility ; Slim and wall-hangable, thanks to One Connect box

Has limits to its upscaling ability ; No Dolby Vision HDR ; Some backlighting woes

Samsung QN800B review: 65-inches of 8K Neo QLED TV goodness

Samsung's Ultra-Ultra-HD TV, the 8K resolution QN800B, has a lot of features to rave about – but is it worth the cash?

Remarkable 8K picture quality ; Slim, wall-hangable design with off-board physical inputs ; Half-decent audio system

Struggles to efficiently upscale sub-4K content ; Some backlighting irregularities ; No Dolby Vision HDR

Give the Samsung QN800B some 8K content to deal with and it looks simply stunning - but out in the real world, it’s a little more compromised than is ideal.

Samsung QN800B (65QN800B) review

8K detail is more affordable here, but still has trouble making its case

Slim and elegant design, with One Connect box ; Bright, colorful and visually dynamic images ; Good gaming support

Images can be over-processed or indistinct images ; No Dolby Vision HDR ; Inconsistent backlighting

The Samsung QNQ00B is an admirable TV in many ways, but this 8K set feels ultimately specified for tomorrow rather than for today – and by today’s standards it’s got some issues.

Samsung 65QN800B review: tomorrow’s world

"Yes, but the demos look amazing..." 8K isn't ready for the mainstream quite yet, but the Samsung 65QN800B will be prepared once it is

Extraordinary 8K picture quality ; Slim, sophisticated design with the One Connect box a highlight ; Great gaming monitor

Has its limitations where upscaling is concerned ; No Dolby Vision HDR ; Some minor backlighting niggles

An excellent TV that’s ready for tomorrow, should tomorrow ever come

Samsung Neo QLED 8K QN800B review: 8K TV that has it all!

With the Samsung Neo QLED 8K QN800B, we were able to take a look at a top-class 8K TV. We share what it is capable of here.

Great picture quality ; High contrast/brightness ; Great design ; Uncomplicated setup ; No cable chaos thanks to One Connect Box ; Intuitive remote control with solar cell ; Clear and versatile interface ; Good gaming support

Expensive ; Power hungry ; No Dolby Vision HDR

This is the first time we have ever dared to review a smart TV on NextPit. That's why I wrote at the beginning that I'm describing my experiences from the user's point of view—and not from the point of view of a professional reviewer. We want to get to...
