Samsung LE46A656 46in LCD TV

We've reviewed the 32in and 40in models from Samsung's A656 LCD TV range and it's now the 46in's turn to flaunt its rose-tinted wares.

Samsung LE40A656 40in LCD TV

Samsung's previous LCD TVs were already pretty good, so can the 40in LE40A656 take things further?

The first set from Samsung's new LCD range marks a stunning leap forward for the Korean brand in both design and picture performance - and that's saying something when you think about how good the brand's previous sets were. Now is it just me, or can...

Samsung LE40A656 review

A uniquely constructed 40" LCD with 100Hz pictures

Impressive motion handling ; Superb black levels ; Generous connectivity

Standard def pictures could look a tad waxy

A very competent LCD performer - one for the sports fans

Samsung LE37A616 review

A beautiful and impeccably specified, full HD star

Picture clarity and all-round performance ; Good looks ; Features

Pricey ; Mild LCD-specific bugbears

Pricey, but specified to the nines, lovely to look at and good with just about every sort of video

Samsung LE46A656A1F review

Samsung sees red on this high-end screen that's trying just too hard to be different

Fantastic black levels ; Comprehensive black levels ; Versatile performer

Weak audio performance ; Looks aren't to everyone's tastes

This 46in beauty is ideal for Full HD movies, games and sports

Samsung LE32A656 review

An elegant TV, but do its pictures match its impressive styling?

Gorgeous design ; Superb picture quality ; Outstanding features and connectivity

Sound could be punchier

It’s got the looks, the features and the pictures to make it quite possibly the most desirable 32in LCD on the block

Samsung LE32A656 review

Now more affordable, and there's enough style and substance on display to make this Samsung stand out

Stylish, colourful set ; nice picture balance ; good off-air picture

Doesn't have quite the punch or clarity of the class leaders

An eye-catching TV where the good looks are complemented by solid picture performance

Samsung LE40A656 review

A well-specified flatscreen capable of great images and with a lot of aesthetic cachet

Excellent detail levels and edge definition with all sources ; stunning looks ; terrifically stable DVD pictures

Can’t quite do the deepest blacks and greatest insight simultaneously ; slight ruddiness to skin tones

This is a detailed performer and stunningly stylish TV, but it's got some strong competition.

Samsung LE46A656

Combining sultry looks with accomplished picture performance, this is a good but not quite great TV

Neat 'rose black' finish ; vibrant picture ; good with movement

The top TVs offer greater clarity and even more detail

Samsung LE32A656 television

No one likes an ugly TV, even if it's the most technologically advanced around. Samsung knows this and had made sure its latest LCD TV is as stunning turned-off as it is switched-on. Add a ridiculously low price tag and the deal is sealed. Kudos to...

Quirky but classy design, sharp Full HD pics, kind to Freeview

Weedy speakers, huge remote control

Kudos to Samsung’s brave team of designers for thinking outside of the box, literally. As an idea, a red-tinted TV is terrifically bad in theory, but it does work in practice. The cynical might argue that a touch of rose diverts your attention from the...
