Ridiculously good value for a 55-inch Full HD TV
Great picture quality for the money ; Impressive value ; Content-rich smart system
Unhelpful picture presets ; Dark scenes can lack shadow detail ; Fairly flimsy audio
Move the contrast setting down to between 85 and 90 – again slightly higher than we’d normally suggest for Samsung TVs – and set the Dynamic Contrast setting to low. Track down the Game setting – oddly hidden away in the General submenu of the System...

An excellent mid-range TV at an aggressive price
Excellent picture quality ; Content-rich smart TV system ; Attractive slim design
Some 3D crosstalk ; Average audio ; Smart interface is a little cumbersome
Also, if you’re going to game on the UE48H6400, don’t forget to seek out the Game picture preset oddly hidden away in the General submenu of the TV’s System menu.

A near flawless, albeit pricey, TV that performs with distinction across the board
Brims with subtlety Insightful and realistic colours Abundance of features Seamless interface Attractive design
Price might be too high for some
The Samsung has everything, but price could be a sticking point. Yet this 32in is a class leader in picture and sound quality and, if your budget suits, then it should be on your shopping list.

Good things come in small packages
Fast user interface ; Quad core processor ; Smart Hub platform ; All-round picture quality
Poor speakers ; No 3D specs ; Voice interaction ; SmartView 2.0 app
Loaded with apps, the UE32H6400 boasts versatile picture quality across both standard and high definition discs and TV, while its Smart Hub platform runs speedily thanks to a quad core processor. The only drawbacks are the lack of 3D glasses and some...

Gorgeous screen with a stack of smarts, this TV should be in your shopping cart
Superbly detailed picture Well-judged colour balance Strong contrast and crisp edges; Smart features Design and interface
Rivals are cheaper
The UE40H6400 is an engrossing screen, with smart features that rivals struggle to match. However, the Sony KDL-40W605B is equally subtle and captivating, and costs £100 less. Nonetheless, the Samsung is a stunning TV. Recommended.

Product of the Year, Awards 2014. Punchy, subtle and exciting, this Samsung TV is fantastic at the price
Brilliant picture quality ; Sharp, subtle detail ; Great selection of on-demand services ; Smart interface ; Easy to use
Smart remote isn’t as intuitive as it could be
Punchy, subtle and exciting, this Samsung TV is fantastic at the price

A great all-round TV for a very attractive price
Full HD detail ; Clean images ; Palm-sized remote ; Speedy navigation
Poor picture presets ; Unwatchable Football mode ; Inaccurate voice control ; SmartView 2.0 app
A great value all-rounder with a highly capable direct LED-backlit LCD screen, the UE48H6400 wows with plenty of contrast, lusciously deep black levels and ultra-bright colours.

Some strong features are slightly undermined by annoying flaws
Crisp images ; Excellent Smart Hub ; Classic design ; Two remotes
Uncomfortable 3D ; Doesn't deliver deep blacks ; Motion Plus a minefield ; Ugly Football Mode
The UE40H6400LED has all the right credentials to become a best-seller for Samsung. It's let down slightly by the social media features, lack of deep blacks and a poor football mode.

55 H6410 - 55'' Full HD SMART 3D LED TV 1920 x 1080 Resolution Black 4 x HDMI 1 x SCART VESA Compatible

It may not be the cheapest 48in screen we've seen recently, but Samsung's UE48H6400 still represents stunning value for money. The design, while not especially original – the X-shaped stand seems a bit dated – is still attractive, with a glossy inner...
Great value; good all-round picture; excellent Smart TV system
Slightly clunky Smart interface; unhelpful picture presets; clouding if you don’t reduce the backlight
