Samsung PS50C6900

The first big-screen TV that makes alternate frame 3D both truly watchable and truly affordable all at the same time.

No motion blur, excellent viewing abgles ; Elegant design ; Less 3D crosstalk than rivals

Average contrast ; Soft SD pictures

With interest in 3D arguably slightly waning as we head into Christmas (especially with Panasonic keeping the Avatar 3D Blu-ray off the streets while it bundles it exclusively with its TVs and Blu-ray packages), the PS50C6900 couldn’t have arrived at a...

Samsung PS50C6900 review

Fantastic value 3D TV with Freeview HD tuner and web access

Much less crosstalk than with Samsung's LCD TVs ; Pretty and slender design ; Exceptional price ; Decent picture flexibility ; Solid audio

Black levels not great by plasma standards ; Colour and softness issues with standard-def material

Samsung insists it will continue to sell plasma TVs for as long as anyone wants to buy them, but the brand's heart seems to lie elsewhere.

Samsung PS50C6900 review

Best 3D TV, Awards 2010. This ultra-competitive screen from Samsung brims with the latest technology and performance

Styling helps minimise bulk ; vibrant, high-contrast pictures ; good 3D stability

Darker images could be more detailed ; some motion anxiety

Best 3D TV, Awards 2010. If you want a big screen packed with up-to-the-minute features, this Samsung is an awful lot of telly for the money

Samsung PS50C6900 review

Samsung is so obsessed with LED technology that its plasmas hardly get any publicity. And it would be a tragedy if the company were to lose all interest in the PDP market, when it's producing such screens as this one, which on paper is a much more...

Excellent images; calibration tools; media functions; value

Reflective screen; HDMI handshake issues; motion judder canceller

Samsung PS50C6900 review

If there's one thing likely to kickstart a revolution, it's an eye-poppingly well-priced product. The 3D market has been calling out for a low-priced marvel, a 50in screen that delivers the thrills of the third dimension, but without also securing the...

With its sub-£1,000 price tag, the Samsung PS50C6900 is brilliantly priced. It isn’t perhaps quite as strong as the Panasonic, but then that screen will set you back several hundred more. The PS50C6900 is a very capable screen with good setup options...

Samsung PS50C6900

This 50-incher actually offers better 3D performance than pricier LCD models, but there's more to it than that: strong all-round 2D picture quality, smooth motion handling and a winning line-up of features make this one of the finest mid-range models...

It might not be the finest plasma performer in it size bracket, but if you’re looking for an impressive 3D TV with a dizzying array of features you won’t find one cheaper than this. Strong picture quality at a fantastic price. Samsung PS50C6900 is...

Samsung PS50C6900

Great TV overall, easy to use. 3D feature is really good to watch movies!

The remote control is ugly, looks very old fashioned for a TV that is so modern. The freeview did not pick up many channels.
