Philips Cineos 32PFL9603D/10 32in LCD TV

It may only be a 32-incher, but Philips' 32PFL9603 LCD TV is a genuine benchmark setter.

A round-up of all the breaking news and hands-on previews of the latest tech from IFA 2011 in Berlin.

A lovely 32" LCD with Ambilight and tons of connections

Gorgeous styling ; Great picture quality ; Impressive audio

Expensive ; Setup needs care ; Too labour-intensive

You need to work hard to get the best out of this TV, but it's worth the effort, for when it is at its best, it's an absolute belter

A masterpiece in TV design with the pricetag to match

Awesome pictures ; Great design ; Endless features

Doesn't come cheap ; It takes work to optimise

Okay, so it's expensive, but the best things in life usually are and you'll quickly realise it's worth every single penny

Philips 47PFL9603D review

It looks pretty and pictures are excellent, but this Philips has a glut of picture options and is a bit of a pain to set up and use

Gorgeous looking set with Ambilight on or off ; fantastic detail and edge definition ; one of the most balanced and natural colour performances around ; great spec ; decent sound

Pointless processing modes ; ill-conceived remote ; more noise than most

It looks pretty and pictures are excellent, but it’s a bit of a pain to set up and use

Philips 47PFL9603D review

This technology-rich 47in LCD TV is certainly one hell of a smooth operator

Excellent motion handling ; Great menu system ; Superb picture quality ; Impressive audio

Awkward remote scroll wheel

Superb picture quality and features make this a first class high-end set

Philips 37PFL9603D review

Review: Perfect Pixel processing makes this TV one to watch

No judder on Blu-ray ; Smooth motion shots ; Ambilight

Irritating remote control ; PC networking fails with video

Combining superb colours, high contrast and rock solid image stability, this a stunning 37in offering

Philips 32PFL9603D review

This TV takes some tweaking to get it performing well, but once you do, it's capable of producing pictures to rival even the most stellar of TVs in it

Stylish design ; good build ; excellent performance – eventually

Remote control isn’t the best ; takes longer than other sets to get it performing well

This TV takes some tweaking to get it performing well, but once you do, it’s stunning

Philips 37PFL9603 review

This new Philips Ambilight LCD TV is packed with technology, but is that enough to justify its premium price in such a competitive market?

Good looks, extensive spec ; impressive sound by flatscreen standards ; deft, natural images

Occasionally flustered by fierce motion ; expensive

If you like a premium product (or you have money to burn), jump right in
