Panasonic TX-P42V10 review

Built in Freesat and VieraCast ensure this plasma screen is ready to entertain

Freesat built in ; Fast widget browsing ; Good build quality

Takes some tweaking to get the best picture ; Not enough image adjustment options

Good features such as Freesat and VieraCast ensure this TV will keep you entertained even when there is nothing on TV. Having THX certification is a nice touch but we would have liked to see more picture tweaks on offer

Panasonic TX-P42V10 review

The Panasonic TX-P42V10 is bristling with features, including a Freesat tuner, and only a slight lack of fine detail with Blu-ray lets it down

Sturdy build ; exhaustive spec ; great TV reception, good DVD upscaling ; chunky sound

Less impressive Blu-ray pictures ; warm colour balance ; screen reflections

The 40-42in screen customer is spoiled for choice; here's another worth consideration

Panasonic TX-P42V10

Not perfect, but nevertheless one of the best 42in plasmas money can buy ..

Black levels

Colour accuracy

Panasonic's TX-P42V10 is a hugely capable and well equipped flat screen TV. Although we are a little disappointed that we have still not (quite) found a screen to topple Pioneer's now legendary 'Kuro' range, this is one of the best 42in TV's money can...

Panasonic TX-P42V10

The Panasonic TX-P42V10 HDTV comes from their Viera V10 plasma range, which – like the G10 series we tested recently – boasts a NeoPDP panel, built-in Freesat tuner, and 600Hz Sub-field Drive Intelligent Frame Creation Pro. On top of these...

At this point, we guess the question on every video enthusiast’s mind is, “Can it dethrone the Pioneer 9G Kuro plasma as the best flat-panel HDTV we’ve tested to date?” We're afraid not: the Panasonic TX-P42V10 ran the Pioneer Kuros really close (in...

Panasonic TX-P42V10

The image quality is excellent having moved from a LCD full HD it is a real marked improvment! As always panasonic tv just set everything up for you at a touch of a button.

The only thong I can fault is the audio but it is not that bad and I use a av systems so it makes no differnce to me!

Panasonic TX-P42V10

Fantastic picture, way better than any cheaper sets that I looked at. Beautiful design with one-piece glass front, looks stunning on a pedestal stand.

Sound quality just average.

Panasonic TX-P42V10

Solid build from a quality manufacturer. Plenty of inputs and outputs. Links seamlessly with other Panasonic products such as Blu Ray players and Recorders. Good sound for a flat screen but benefits from a separate surround sound system such as the...

None at this price - some users may prefer the brighter images of an LCD but I like the darker softer images of plasma when viewing DVD/Blu Rays.
