Panasonic Viera TX-P42G15 42in plasma TV

John dips into yet another new TV range from Panasonic with this Full HD 42in gem.

Although it takes a bit of initial work to get the best out of the P42G15, making us wish Panasonic had put a bit more effort into its picture presets, it's still entirely capable of being an excellent TV.

Panasonic TX-P42G15B review

The TX-P42G15B isn't a TV to annoy, but equally it won't thrill you either. This plasma from Panasonic is merely outclassed by its rivals

Deep yet detailed blacks ; good punch ; clean standard-def pictures ; substantial spec ; Freesat

Lacks the detail and definition of the best ; whites could be purer ; 600Hz adds little

Panasonic fans might appreciate the simplicity of the ’G15, but it’s outclassed by test rivals

Panasonic TX-P42G15 review

A feature-packed 42" plasma HDTV that delivers top class pictures

Inky black levels ; Super sharp HD pictures ; Onboard Freesat tuners

Boring design ; Standard picture presets need tweaking ; Drab EPGs

Pristine picture quality and a fabulous lineup of features make this another superb plasma from Panasonic

A cracking Freesat TV. If you want a Plasma with free HD channels, buy one

Great picture, stacks of features, good price for a plasma

Factory settings could be less brash

Panasonic TX-P42G15B

The Panasonic TX-P42G15 is a 42-inch “NeoPDP” plasma television with a full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution, built-in Freesat tuner, four HDMI inputs and networking capabilities allowing you to access digital videos, music and photos from any DLNA compliant...

For the price it’s hard to think of a better performing plasma TV, or one packed with so many features. If Freesat, media playback and Internet connectivity are all things you look for in a TV, the Panasonic TX-P42G15 hits all these marks perfectly....

Panasonic TX-P42G15

Good Freesat picture quality. Excellent HD picture quality. DLNA connectivity. Price.

Can't play music from a DLNA server - video or images only. Limited applications available on VieraCast. The TV's surrounding casing isn't great looking compared to some of the latest designs available.
