Panasonic Viera TH-P42V20A plasma television

Panasonic's top non-3D plasma TV is very affordable and has great picture quality

Comparatively low price, excellent picture quality, useful Internet features

Thick chassis and bezel, non-reflective coating dulls colours slightly

Panasonic's TH-P42V20A is a medium-size plasma television with excellent picture quality. If you don't need or want the ability to view 3D content, this television is a great way to watch TV and Blu-ray discs without spending too much.

Panasonic Viera TH-P42V20A

The Panasonic Viera TH-P42V20A is a steal at half the price of the company's flagship and features a better picture to boot!

Excellent home theatre pictures ; Sharp ; Noise superbly handled ; Better image quality than Pana flagship ; Stacks of features including Skype and Twitter

Some tendency for jagginess ; Other TVs have better IPTV offerings

With the increasing prevalence of "LED" TVs it seems that plasma's dominance is no longer assured. While the V20 and VT20 are superior to 90 per cent of the models on the market they are no longer "the best". But if you're a fan of plasma's key...

Panasonic Viera TH-P42V20A

THe grey-metal colour surround on the screen blends in to a room much better than I originally thought. Easy to set up, the wife had it up and running in a few minutes after I screwed on the base.

Picture quality in HD, fully adjustable colour settings

Above avg with SD but not the best

We bought one of these a few weeks ago. Good picture, however, the Internet "Viera Cast" function has not worked. Panasonic help desk have been of little help, the one suggestion they made did not resolve the problem.

I think at USD1200 it is an excellent buy as compared to LCD and LED tvs. P42V20 rocks with Blueray DVDs

Excellent HD quality pictures. Less power consumption , Sleek Design, Have media server playback and IPTV

USB cannot read HDDs and read only Flash memories, Cannot play .mkv, SD quality not so good

I dumped my home theater PC. Now stream from my main PC. It plays everything I have thrown at it. Some recordings do not respond to FF and RW but that must be the way they were recorded. Dumped my Sony Sound system and use the Panasonic Bluray amp now,...

Panasonic Viera TH-P42V20A

My 30 year old AWA Thorn CRT was finally on its way out and after reading many reviews praising this plamsa unit I went out and bought one (with the Blueray/Home theatre sound package promo). It's nice having a bigger screen and more inputs (though why...

Bigger picture than my old AWA Thorn CRT TV and more imputs

Poor picture quality compared to my old CRT, colours are too dark and blue saturated
