Panasonic TX-P65VT50

Probably the best TV for watching films on we've ever seen.

Stunning cinematic pictures ; Good online service ; Nice looker

Jumping brightness when using Dynamic preset with 3D ; Minor dotting noise over skin tones ; Touchpad remote is a pain

Panasonic's best plasma ever

The Panasonic TC-PVT50 represents the pinnacle of modern TV picture quality, and creates some competition for forthcoming OLED TVs, which will cost thousands more.

The ; produces some of the best pictures ever, with exceedingly deep black levels, highly accurate color, and perfect screen uniformity and off-angle performance. It can get brighter than competing plasmas and performs better in well-lit rooms....

The VT50 isn't as strong in terms of value as Panasonic's excellent midtier plasmas. It uses more power than competing LCD TVs, and doesn't perform as well in bright rooms as those with matte screens. It doesn't come with 3D glasses and its 3D picture...

The Panasonic TC-PVT50 series represents the pinnacle of current flat-panel TV picture quality.

Panasonic Viera TC-P65VT50

The 65-inch VT50 series plasma HDTV is Panasonic's best in show, top-of-the-line flagship for this year. It'll cost you just a little under four grand (at MSRP $3699), and it's served hot with all the toppings: full HD 3D, dual 8-train speakers with an...

Great contrast ratio and accurate color ; Handsome glass and metal design ; Audio quality that’s well above average

Very expensive

2012 has so far introduced some excellent flagships from LG, Samsung, and Toshiba. The Panasonic Viera TC-P65VT50 may, however, be the finest TV we’ve reviewed this year. Here’s why.

Panasonic TC-P65VT50 3D Plasma Review

There is a lot more picture quality performance in the higher end lines of Panasonic Plasma starting with the TC-P65VT50. For example you get much better processing with this TV through the sub pixel controller which controls the three phosphor...

- This mode is slightly brighter and more saturated than the Cinema setting. A good choice

Consumer review (cnet.com)

"Great TV..."

Great TV! and even better because I bought it for less than half price. Although it is not a 4K tv, the VT50 has the clearest picture I've ever owned, some of the smoothest motion, deepest colors and super dark black levels.. truly a beautiful display....

Amazing picture.

Must have High end BR player to get full picture benefits.

"Awesome Picture, too bad it died after 7 days."

Looked hard and long to replace my 50" Sony which worked flawlessly for 9 years, but it was time for an upgrade. After all the reviews and visits to stores for comparisons, the salespeople at Pauls TV, who were extremly knowlegable, convinced me that...
