Panasonic Viera TX-L32E30B

The first TV from Panasonic's 2011 range is here. But we're not sure it's a great indication of what's to come.

Not a bad price for what's on offer, Online and multimedia features are welcome, Good colour handling

Black levels not the best, Some motion problems, No web browser

Panasonic TX-L32E30B review

The no-frills Panasonic TX-L32E30B could be a smart choice

Affordable ; excellent internet TV service ; detailed, natural pictures

Motion isn’t perfect ; nor is the TV tuner ; average sound

It’s not flawless but for many we think this set will be just the job

Panasonic TX-L32E30B review

Sophisticated, but only occasionally excellent mid-range 32-incher with Viera Connect

Decent value ; Impressive apps-oriented online platform ; Some strong picture points ; Excellent build quality

It can be tricky to get motion and contrast looking just right ; No open web browser ; More picture adjustments would be nice

If you're in the market for a 32-inch TV but can't summon any interest in 3D or can't afford the exceptional TX-L32DT30B, then Panasonic has the TX-L32E30B with which to tempt you.

Panasonic TX-L42E30B review

Not bothered by 3D? Panasonic's new 42-inch LCD TV be right up your street

Classy design and build ; Impressive picture and sound performance ; Smart TV features ; Fast and easy to use ; Freeview USB recording

Lack of 3D support might be a concern to futureproofers ; No unrestricted web browsing ; Limited picture adjustments

Panasonic might reign unchallenged as king of plasma, but the LED-powered TX-L42E30B proves that its commitment to LCD is no less fierce.

Panasonic TX-L37E30B review

Advanced networking is the trump card of this connected LED TV

Comprehensive network media streaming support ; Viera Connect IPTV and apps portal ; Improved user interface ; Good picture performance ; Freeview HD tuner

Motion artefacts caused by Intelligent Frame Creation processing ; Ordinary sound ; Black level not as deep as the competition

The TX-L37E30B puts LCD finally on a par with Panasonic's all-conquering plasmas. The LED-powered TV is positioned above a trio of HD ready models in 20 and 32-inch screen sizes and it has a lookalike 42-inch sibling.

Panasonic TX-L42E30B review

Ask any AV enthusiast to recommend a plasma TV and they'll invariably mention Panasonic. The same isn't always true of LED TVs, though – something the PDP giant will hope to change with its new 2011 range of LED sets.

Blu-ray pictures; attractive design; fast, intuitive GUI; multimedia applications

Off-axis viewing reveals light pooling; no web browser

Panasonic Viera E30 (TX-L37E30B) review

Just as we never really expected Porsche to make hybrid cars, so we never thought Panasonic would make LCD TVs . But Panasonic jumped into the LCD arena because most people don't buy massive televisions, and screens of 37 inches and below are best...

Attractive styling; good picture quality; iPlayer is finally available.

At obtuse angles, the picture washes out considerably; fairly pricey.

The 37-inch Viera TX-L37E30B is incredibly capable, and a huge improvement on Panasonic's previous LCD offerings. The inclusion of iPlayer -- at last -- is incredibly welcome too.
