Syntax @ CES - Hands-on with Olevia 32- and 37-inch HDTV LCD TVs

The bargain-priced Syntax Olevia LCD HDTVs were in full display at CES, with the 32-inch ($1999 retail) and 37-inch (above, $2999 retail) not looking like they are low-priced models, with sweet color and sharpness (just look at Bloat). Both setshave a...

Great Value

I have never regretted this purchase.

Tons of inputs, great picture quality and awesomely inexpensive for those of us on the collegiate income program

Takes a while to power up (~10-15 seconds), but well worth the wait

AWESOME T.V.

I must say I love Newegg, but Ihad bought this set threw a ifferent vendor. This t.v. is great. you can not go wrong for the money. I researched lcd hdtvs for quite sometime before I boought this one, and boy am I happy

This t.v. is awesome. The set that I purchased came with 2-hdmi,2-composite,etc. The picture is geat, really sharp. My dvds on my upconvert dvd player are awesome. I just ordered a vga cable so i can hook up my computer.Ican not wait. The sound is not as...

Just a couple, the buttons on the remote are really small,so if you do not have great eye sight it can be difficult to pick the proper key ; Not really a problem but you have to cycle all thru The sources to get to the one you want

Great Product

it is said that the menu is confusing or difficult, but i think it is more of the fact the menu is very different from others, this is not reallt a plus or a minus but sitting down for 5 minutes figuring it out is no problem, as every new system is...

Great performance, HD is excellent this TV can compare with all others & its cheaper

none really first few times using it i had a problem with xbox 360, ejecting one disc to the other seemed to cause choppiness but after a good breaking in it hasn't happened & the red crosshair with battle rifle seems to be a bit choppy but easy to get...

Excellent HDTV, great price

Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. It's almost perfect for my needs. And of course, NewEgg is the best for price, shipping, and service.

Beautiful picture, more than enough connections for my setup, and you can't beat the price. And plenty of features packed in as well

As some have noted previously, the warmup time is longer than I would have expected... it's not terrible, just unexpected. And I wish there was a way to change the source input directly to the desired choice with one button press (instead of having to...

nice bang for buck

I also own a panasonic 32 lcd i purchased last christmas. although it was nearly 1k more. the picture blows this out of the water. the rating is based on the price the egg has it for at the price i got it for its an easy 5 stars.

The price ; I recently bought 2 of these for the kids. although I got it for under 500 on a one day sale at another store. Good picture decent outputs

Well the blacks aren't all that black. everything seems abit washed out. some bleed through. Odd menu. can't quite get the picture the way i would like it. remote seems budget ; one hdmi

awesome tv

Came with a power cable, remote, and instructions/warranty. I used a normal monitor replacement cable (VGA male/male) to hook my laptop on to this.

The TV came in and to my surprise, it was a higher version than the one advertised. Instead of only 1 HDMI, 1 S-Video, 1 component, and 1 VGA... it came with 2 HDMI, 2 S-Video, 3 Component (1 was VGA), 2 composites, and a VGA port. Not to mention the...

The menu system kind of sucks. The start up time is rather slow, but not as bad as some people make it out to be

Great TV

1) Make sure your outlets are properly grounded, this is very important for this TV! 2) Use a shielded VGA cable if you are hooking this up to a PC, or you will get ghosting. 3) Bought this from another vendor on sale, got poor service - should have...

Excellent unit, plenty of connectors, and lots of good features

HD channels are expensive

Awesome LCD TV

The olevia emblem lights up blue, not a big issue to me at all considering it's not in my bedroom.

Size ; ms rate ; HD + DVI capabilities ; Picture = amazing ; Even though it's refurbished, I could not find one scuff or dead pixel on the tv. Looks and runs brand new

None that I can find

Great HDTV

Amazing LCD TV i would say its "good for the price" but its way better then the price lets on. If you are looking to make the jump to HD, definitely give this one a try.

Great picture ; Excellent to use as a PC monitor ; decent amount of inputs and out puts ; Upgradeable Firmware ; Too many more to mention

Changing between Inputs is kind of tedious w/o the ability to jump directly between them. Then again, most TVs have the same problem ; No 1080p (not that I really care)
