LG 50PZ950

While LG clearly prefers the passive 3D format, active 3D is still alive and well on its plasma models, like this 50PZ950 flagship.

Likable active 3D pictures, Extremely high build quality, Good multimedia support

Contrast not the best, High input lag, Some crosstalk on 3D

LG 50PZ950T review

LG's 50-inch flagship 3D plasma TV boasts a huge online service and active 3D

Attractive and robust design ; Solid active 3D performance ; Excellent multimedia tools

Traces of 3D crosstalk noise ; Sluggish online OS ; Surprisingly average black levels ; Excessive input lag

LG has been so aggressive about promoting its new passive 3D TV technology this year that you'd be forgiven for thinking the brand no longer made any active 3D TVs. But actually, active 3D is still alive and well on the plasma side of LG's TV range,...

LG 60PZ950 3D plasma TV

The LG 60PZ950 is a 60in 3D plasma TV with Smart TV Internet features. It doesn't have the Cinema 3D features of LG's 2011 LED TV range like the LG LW...

Huge screen for a reasonably low price ; Smart TV services look great

Who knows

LG's 60in 60PZ950 plasma TV is the company's top model release for 2011 in Australia. It's a huge screen for a small price and has all of LG's latest tricks inside -- as long as its picture quality is as good as LG's best plasma TVs from last year,...

LG 50PZ950 3D plasma TV

The LG 50PZ950 is big and beautiful, but a bit complicated

Low price for its size and quality ; Very good image quality ; Generous feature set

May be too much TV for some users' needs ; No built-in Wi-Fi ; Setup guide needs work

The Infinia 50PZ950 has very good image quality and an excellent array of features, but this 50-inch plasma set needs built-in Wi-Fi and a better setup guide.

LG PZ950 review: LG PZ950

LG PZ950

The LG ; evinced excellent color in bright and dark areas, along with the even screen uniformity of plasma. The Smart TV Internet portal is well-designed with a solid selection of streaming services, and LG includes a Wi-Fi dongle. The secondary...

This plasma reproduces light black levels and its screen handles bright rooms worse than other TVs. It showed mediocre 3D performance. Smart TV lacks Pandora, and its search is next to useless.

Although blessed with solid features, design, and performance, the LG PZ950 series can't match the excellent picture quality of other plasmas in its price range.

LG 50PZ950

The LG 50PZ950 "smart" plasma may include a THX3D-certified picture, but it's the Magic Motion remote and budget price that help it stand out.

LG 50PZ950

This 1080p plasma television with internet and 3D capabilities is purportedly the best LG has to offer in 2011. The LG 50PZ950 (found for $1,500 – reduced from the $2,000 MSRP) looks great, has all the features and should be a contender for best TV of...

High motion performance ; Strong resolution scaling

Inaccurate RGB curves hurt viewing ; Subpar 3D image quality

There are many of aspects to appreciate about the LG 50PZ950 ($1,500 – much less than the original $2,000 MSRP). This behemoth plasma screen has features aplenty. Just by buying an LG with internet connectivity, you get one of the best user interfaces,...
