LG 50PW450T

The LG 50PW450T might only cost £600 for a 50in 3D plasma TV, but that doesn't automatically make it a winner. Not by a long chalk.

Incredible price for such a large plasma TV, Excellent operating system, 2D HD pictures look nice

Shoddy 3D pictures, Dot fizzing over motion, Lack of colour subtlety

LG 42PW450T

Effective 3D and HD-ready TV at a bargain price, great ergonomics

Some motion issues, miserly resolution, grating sound

A bit of an oddball, sure, but an ideal toe-in-the-3D-water nonetheless

LG 50PW450 review

You can do better than this LG even at this price

Affordable ; good colours ; sharp pictures

Weak motion ; some noise in standard-def pictures ; lacks detail and black depth ; not Full HD

Even at this price you can afford to be picky, and you can do better than this LG

LG 50PW450 review

A keenly priced plasma that is fatally undermined by truly dreadful 3D performance

Aggressive price for a 50-inch 3D TV ; Decent HD 2D pictures ; Good calibration tools ; Exceptional build quality

Awful 3D pictures ; Average standard-def performance ; General picture noise

LG's 50PW450T is a remarkably affordable, 50-inch plasma TV with active shutter 3D technology. Its eye-popping value credentials are underlined by a built-in 3D transmitter and the fact that it ships with a pair of 3D specs, putting plenty of its more...

LG 42PW450T review

A bargain 42-inch HD-ready plasma TV that scores well with Blu-ray but not 3D

Decent all-round images ; First-rate Blu-ray playback ; Appealing look ; Attractive menu system ; Excellent sound

3D pictures lack punch ; Standard def Freeview pics below par ; Network-unfriendly ; Active 3D glasses expensive

Given all the fuss LG has made about the benefits of passive 3D TV, you'd be forgiven for thinking that the Korean brand had turned its back on the active shutter system. Not so. And even more surprising is that the company's most affordable TV over 40...

LG 50PW450T review

3D's most hauntedLG's 3D-capable plasma rewrites the rule book, says crosstalk ghost-hunter, John Archer. It's just a pity that in it's the wrong way...

Great value; includes a pair of active shutter glasses; sounds good; calibration flexibility

3D pictures destroyed by crosstalk; not a Full HD panel

Didnt like it

This would have been an OK TV for the money except the reflective screen was a nightmare.

LG 42PW450T

very thin and great picture, cant comment much on sound due to the fact i use a headset, but little bit i did hear was good. very heavy but expected, and 3D works well just not many products out their to support it at the moment.

heavy and some 3D modes dont work with me, might be me not the TV though, due to the fact i suffer from migraine and eyesight problems.
