Hisense takes Mini LED to the mid-range with enjoyable results
Bright, contrast-rich pictures ; Extremely loud sound ; Good gaming support
Faint but occasionally wide-spread blooming ; Some colour ‘blurring’
The U7K reveals a brand capable of learning fast and proves Mini LED doesn’t have to be expensive to work

This Mini LED from Hisense punches well above its asking price, making it a great option to consider
Deeply competitive specification ; Bright, vivid and well-controlled pictures ; Proper smart TV interface
Sound is underwhelming ; Far from the most accomplished upscaler around
If you want big, accomplished high-resolution images from an impressively specified television, and you’re not bothered about the cachet of the brand logo it carries, you could do an awful lot worse than check out this overachiever from Hisense. Try to...

Hisense learns fast from past missteps to deliver a serious new Mini LED contender.
Seriously aggressive pricing ; Good all-round picture quality ; Room-filling sound
Some backlight clouding ; Some strange colour smudging ; It's up against some tough competition
Despite only belonging to the mid-tier of a new triple-layer offering of Mini LED TVs, the Hisense U7K improves massively on its more expensive predecessor. Its aggressive pricing brings Mini LED into the reach of a much wider audience, too.

OLED? ULED? Ignore the acronyms (and the audio, to an extent) - the Hisense 65U7KQTUK delivers on picture quality
Mighty specification ; Vibrant, high-contrast and convincing images ; Good smart TV features
Audio isn’t up to much ; Has definite upscaling limits
Thought your budget wouldn’t stretch to a big, well-specced TV with all the trimmings? Think again…

The entry point into Hisense's 120Hz ‘ULED' TV line-up, the 65U7KQ combines a 4K panel with a Mini LED backlight offering 384 dimming zones. This technology, allied to Quantum Dot colour delivery, results in crisp pictures with excellent local contrast...

Hisense's high-end TVs always look advanced on paper, and you'd expect to see a price north of £1,000. But Hisense usually manages to keep its TVs below four figures and, in the past, that's led to a lack of quality where it counts – despite the fancy...
