Vizio XVT3D650SV 65" LED 3D TV

If you've been waiting for a full-featured, big-screen LCD TV--and by big, I mean 5-feet-plus on the diagonal--that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, the Vizio XVT3D650SV may well be the answer to your prayers. For $3700 (as of April 7, 2011), this...

Good 3D support and image quality, decent price ; Bluetooth keyboard remote, dual-band Wi-Fi support

Not many ports, audio quality is mediocre ; No USB multimedia playback support as shipped

Vizio's giant LED-backlit set bundles generally good image quality with solid connected TV features and 3D support at a reasonable price; multimedia playback is promised via a firmware upgrade.

Vizio XVT3D650SV

The first passive 3D HDTV, Vizio's 65-inch XVT3D650SV delivers theater-like 3D on a big screen, and includes four sets of 3D glasses, five HDMI ports, and a generous catalog of Internet apps.

Very good SD and HD image quality. Good black levels and 3D depth. Generous port selection. Integrated Wi-Fi. Bundled Bluetooth remote control with QWERTY keyboard. Four pairs of lightweight 3D glasses included; additional pairs are inexpensive.

3D background quality could be sharper. No 2D to 3D conversion capability. Lackluster design.

Audio settings include five presets (Flat, Jazz, Pop, Rock, and Classical) and a lip sync setting that lets you make adjustments if the picture does not sync up with the audio output. An equalizer panel lets you create your own custom sound profile,...

VIZIO Edge Lit Razor LED XVT3D650SV - 65 Class ( 64.5 viewable ) LED-backlit LCD TV review: VIZIO Edge Lit Razor LED XVT3D650SV - 65 Class ( 64.5 view

VIZIO Edge Lit Razor LED XVT3D650SV - 65 Class ( 64.5 viewable ) LED-backlit LCD TV

Accurate color in bright areas; passive 3D image brighter than active 3D TVs and showed less crosstalk than 3D LCDs; includes four pairs of passive 3D glasses; superb streaming and widget content via well-integrated apps platform; includes unique...

Smearing in fast motion; relatively light black levels; poor screen uniformity and off-angle viewing; glossy screen reflects ambient light; black areas tinged blue; couldn't handle 1080p/24 content properly; passive 3D image softer and more...

The well-equipped Vizio XVT3D650SV is the first passive 3D TV and provides an intriguing alternative to active 3D models, but subpar 2D picture quality hurts its appeal.

VIZIO XVT3D650SV

The Vizio XVT3D650SV is a 65-inch 3D LCD TV with LED backlighting. Yup, it has all the bells and whistles that we've come to associate with a high-end television set. The XVT3D650SV isn't as stylish or thin as a lot of the competition, but it's $3699...

The Vizio XVT3D650SV is an interesting 3D HDTV for sure. It’s got a gigantic screen and its 3D content looks good for the most part, although we noticed some troubles with the TV’s viewing angle. Most importantly, the XVT3D650SV uses passive 3D...

Vizio XVT3D650SV LED 3DTV (TPV 107)

Vizio XVT3D650SV 3D LED LCD HDTV

Price: $3,700 At A Glance: Excellent 2D performance • Excellent black level and shadow detail • Cheaper, lighter, passive 3D glasses Vizio steps up with the first passive 3DTV, but will the world take it sitting down? Since the advent of 3D for the...

Vizio XVT3D650SV Review – 65-inch LED LCD HDTV

Vizio has added to its already existing range of HDTVs having the latest innovative features of the decade, with this 65-inch set. Just like a magician pulling a trick from underneath his hat, Vizio has introduced this model with a flourish. Improving...

This set has a refresh rate of 120 Hz which is good enough to keep out the blurring from the action scenes. You can watch the movies and all the sports sequences just like they were filmed. The sound quality is of course, quite good too. There is...

VIZIO XVT3D650SV 3D TV Review

Not too many moons ago, the cost of a 65" TV was in the "if you have to ask, you can't afford it" category.

Consumer review (cnet.com)

"I find that most of the cited "bad" issues aren't true."

From the CNET official review with my comments: The bad: Smearing in fast motion: VERY MINIMAL, HARD TO SEE BY US AT HOME; relatively light black levels; THE FIRST THING I NOTICED ABOUT THIS TV WAS HOW AMAZINGLY DARK THE BLACK LEVELS WERE, I CANNOT...

purchased just one month ago at walmart somehow at a massive discount. WE GOT THE M3D650SV. I thought it was the same model but it has almost no problems at all, certainly none of the ones cited in this cnet review so we are ecstatic...

few problems. I notice a few very dim "splotchy" areas of grayness or dimmer screen areas on very uniform and lighter color backgrounds. They are never visible in regular viewing by any of my family. So, overall, no cons, except the TV wasn't free!
