Thoroughly unimpressed

 

We were unimpressed with this toaster from first opening the packaging.Where to start? It doesn't pop up far enough, the outside gets VERY hot, and it just feels tinny. It also doesn't actually toast the bread that effectively.Now, two and a half...

Toaster for standard bread only

 

This is a smart-looking but essentially useless toaster. If you buy plastic-wrapped, ready-sliced bread it is fine, but for hot-cross buns, and home-sliced loaves the bread doesn't pop up far enough, which means that each toasting session is followed...

Not too impressed

 

The sides of this get very hot - hot enough for a minor burn If you're not careful. And the cable is very short. Not at all impressed.

Not as depicted

 

I bought this toaster because the images on the John Lewis web site showed a 'bun warmer' . It doesn't have one, and there isn't one available as a Russell Hobbs accessory for this toaster.The top gets very hot during toasting and the 'Hi Lift'...

Elegant product

 

A really nice looking product that takes decent sized slices of bread although toasting is slightly uneven. The casing does get hot, the electric cable is not very flexible and after two attempts I have given up getting one with a working 'on' light.
