The 4-slice Philips HD2647 toaster should be big enough to cope with the breakfast demands of the whole family, and has some useful features such as separate controls for each pair of slots so everyone can have their toast exactly how they like it. But...

Waste of money
I have never had a slice of toast from this machine that is toasted equally on both sides no matter which slot I put the bread in. One side will be ok but the is barely warm, never mind toasted and I end up turning the slices over and toasting them...

It doesn't toast the bread evenly on both sides. I have to use the defrost button every time to achieve a more even toasting and even then it's not brilliant.

Look and finish is good.
Erratic toasting results. Settings needed high because we use unsliced whole meal bread. Sometimes not toasted sometimes really scorched.

Doesn't toast evenly, have to turn bread around halfway through, also one of our slots doesn't toast
