The side controls are hard to access. The defrost control needs a few attempts to work. When toasting a single slice, one side is darker than the other. Browning differs on each side when batch toasting

Had to return it, as although it's a nice looking toaster it doesn't cook evenly (black in the middle, white at the edges). Also a bit restricted on size (only cooks 'warbie' end on, leaving a bit of the bread visible outside of the slot which doesn't...

crumb tray easily removable. Fits most sizes of bread. High access feature for toasting tea cakes, crumpets etc works well.
