Acer Iconia One 7

Hands-on: A Nexus 7 rival from Acer

7-inch tablets have a tough time these days. It's hard to recommend many when the Nexus 7 can be bought for under £150 these days. The Acer Iconia One 7 is no Nexus-botherer, but the bright bodies on offer may please the kids.

Acer Iconia One 7 review

Can you really get a good Android tablet for under £100?

Very low price ; Decent viewing angle ; Decent CPU power

Too much app bloat ; Weak display colours ; Long load times

Acer Iconia One 7 hands-on review

At its event in New York, Acer has announced another budget tablet so here's our review of the Acer Iconia One 7. Read: The 25 best tablets of 2014.

The budget price of the Iconia One 7 is reflected in the quality of its hardware with lackluster cameras and a not very impressive screen. It's cheap and cheerful so doesn't look like one we'll be recommending but check back for the full review soon to...

Acer Iconia One 7 Tablet

This is a 7inch Android Tablet, from the same range as the A1 I reviewed in June. This looks and feels quite different and I have not really worked out why the only thing I noticed – remember I am a man – is this this was black and the A1 was cream.

The screen is smaller and the back has tiny ridges. The dimensions are 12x20x.8cm; the viewable screen is 9.5x15cm which gives the notional diagonal imperial measurement of 7inches. Screen resolution is 800x1280. The right side has the on/off button...

Acer Iconia One 7

In the past I have looked at various Acer laptops and now I have the opportunity to check out one of the company's tablets.

The Acer Iconia One 7 is a tablet aimed at the budget market sector. As its title indicates, this tablet is of the 7-inch variety. The unit is available in a range of colours that include red, white, blue, green and yellow. My review sample is of the...

Acer Iconia One 7 hands-on review

We check out Acer's dirt cheap Google Nexus 7 competitor

Under the bonnet, the Acer Iconia One 7 touts a dual-core Intel Atom chip. While it's not a high-end processor, we noticed no lag while using the tablet, although it is noticeably slower than more expensive models.

Acer Iconia One 7 review

Simple and forgettable is the story of Acer's Iconia One 7. In fact, it's almost as if Acer took it out of a time capsule from 2012.

The Acer Iconia One 7 starts at $130 and has a micro-SD card expansion slot.

The thick design is outdated, its plastic build feels filmsy, and the screen's range of color is underwhelming.

If you're on tightest of budgets, the Acer Iconia One 7 will meet your needs for very casual use, but don't expect more than that.

Acer Iconia One 7

The Acer Iconia One 7 tablet will suffice for casual Web browsing and media consumption, but even at this low price, there are better options.

Affordable. Memory card slot for expanding storage. Playful color choices

Dull display. Mediocre battery life

I've about had it with the "One" naming convention sweeping the tech world. No, sorry: Your device is not the One. With that out of the way, let's get to the Acer Iconia One 7. The $129 (8GB) slate joins the ranks of affordable and passable, but...

Not really good tablet

I bought this tablet 6 months ago but it is not really good, it is too slow, the picture is poor quality and the video is dark. Last week it stopped working when i switch on then after 1 minutes it will switch off by itself. It's waste of money ☹️
