Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0

Does Samsung even care about tablets? On this evidence, we're not sure.

Decent, bright screen ; Multi-Window support ; Good battery life

Cheap design with slippery back ; Sluggish multi-tasking performance ; Overpriced

The screen also manages the same 189ppi as the Note 8.0 matching clarity levels of the S Pen-toting device. The screen is not bad. Colours are good, it's very bright and the contrast is good enough to enjoy HD videos, but it just lacks the sharpness of...

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 review

Samsung adds an eight-incher to its Tab line-up, but can it beat the Nexus 7 and iPad Mini?

Slim build ; Decent screen ; Excellent battery life

Performance issues ; Plasticky design ; Unjustified high price

With the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, Samsung has delivered below-par build quality, poor performance and an unattractive plasticky case and then slapped on a price tag that means it costs more than an iPad Mini. It's hard to find any reason to recommend this...

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 review

Compact tablets are all the rage in 2013. Far from being "dead on arrival" as the late Apple boss Steve Jobs once declared, the 7-inch tablet market is thriving. And while that's the size-space that Samsung has typically occupied with its earlier Tab...

Slim, light, microSD slot for expansion, screen decent in many conditions, decent battery life, multi-window view is a cool idea

Plastic construction, screen res could be higher, too expensive compared to the competition

There's plenty of good to be had from the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0. But less so at this price point. It's pricier than the higher-resolution Nexus 7, and its plasticky construction just isn't as well made as the Apple iPad mini. And for once the Apple...

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 Review: In Depth

With Samsung flooding the market with phones and tablets, it's hardly surprising that they've release three, yes, three Samsung Galaxy Tab 3s. The baby of...

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (8.0) LTE - A Phablet in Disguise

Samsung has been on a roll releasing new tablets for almost every segment, including young pre-school kids! The Galaxy Tab 3 series makes up the company's mainstream offerings and we take a look at the 8-inch variant that's becoming a new sweet spot fo...

Decent display; Long battery life; Make calls directly with LTE edition; microSD card slot

Not a HD screen; Middling performance; Expensive

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 review: Better than an iPad mini?

Samsung's Galaxy Tab 3 is designed to take on the likes of the iPad mini and Nexus 7.

The Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, is so middle of the road, that we can't really make our minds up about it.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 review - Yet another tablet device from Samsung, but who exactly is this one for?

Light and slim form-factor, decent screen, Samsung native apps

stylus, occasionally laggy performance, suspect wireless sharing functionality

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 review

For all intents and purposes, eight inches is the new sweet spot for tablets. We've so far seen a few hits with this form factor, the Samsung Galaxy Note

Crisp, bright display ; Slim design ; Runs Android 4.2

Glitchy performance ; Unremarkable compared to competitors

The Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 features a nice display and a slim design, but it's otherwise a forgettable device.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 review: Middle of everywhere

In their third generation, the Galaxy Tab series by Samsung are finally coming to terms with playing second fiddle to the Notes. The S-Pen and the processing power are, at this point, the main dividing line between mainstream and premium, but the gap...

8.0" 16M-color LCD capacitive touchscreen of 800 x 1280 pixel resolution ; Android OS v4.2.2 with TouchWiz ; 1.5 GHz dual-core Cortex-A9 CPU, Mali-400MP GPU, 2GB of RAM, Exynos 4212 Dual chipset ; 5 MP autofocus camera with face detection ; 720p HD...

Speakers at the bottom (portrait), rather than front-facing on either side ; No NFC support ; No FM Radio ; Questionable still image and video recording quality

This year's update of the Galaxy Tab series makes room for an 8" tablet and it looks like a logical decision by Samsung to build on the momentum of the Note 8.0. You lose the S-pen and two CPU cores but you get slimmer bezels and lighter weight - some...

Samsung gets it mostly right with the 8-inch Galaxy Tab 3

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 features a comfortable design, great screen, and myriad features at a premium price.

The ; light, comfortable design, myriad useful features, and bright colorful screen makes the 8-incher one of the best small tablets on the market.

A price of $300 is a lot for any small tablet, and some features like Smart Stay and Watch On’s search don’t work as well as intended.

It costs a bit more than we'd like, but the Galaxy Tab 3 is Samsung’s best non-Note tablet yet.
