The Razer Edge 5G is a gaming portable that can use the cloud to play services such as Xbox Game Pass. But is it better than your phone?
Access to the best cloud services (and much more) ; Excellent AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate ; SD storage for emulation ; Good physical controller
You already own a phone that does all of this ; 5G data plan is expensive ; Large bezels ; Poor speakers
The Razer Edge 5G is a good stab at creating an all-in-one cloud and mobile gaming device, with a good controller and access to 5G data. But it’s just not unique enough from your phone to justify the purchase for most people.

Razer's new tablet breaks banks and blows minds
AAA gaming on a tablet ; Excellent build quality on tablet and accessories ; Novel, fun and slick ; Surprisingly good multitasker
Quite expensive, and a questionable value compared to a laptop ; Needs pricey accessories to reach its potential ; Short battery life ; When you factor in accessories, it's not really portable ; It's heavy
When you hear the phrase "tablet gaming," what comes to mind? Angry Birds, Infinity Blade and The Walking Dead games? Well what if we told you that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Batman: Arkham City and Far Cry 3 were now tablet territory?

The Razer Edge is a powerful Windows device with a tablet, PC and console all in one
Expert review by : Rich Brown Scott Stein (cnet.co.uk)
A ton of use modes and a clever set of accessories give the Razer Edge a lot of charm and give PC games a console-like spin, but the total package isn't for everyone.
Gaming-optimized Windows 8 tablet with onboard Nvidia graphics; offers plenty of ways to play games via extra accessories; relatively easy setup.
Gaming performance trails that of comparably priced gaming laptops; lacks 1080p screen; design is thicker and heavier than other Windows 8 tablets; lacks Ethernet and SD slot; battery life runs short when gaming; price skews high when accessories are...
The Razer Edge is one of the most inventive PC gaming devices in years, but you'll pay a premium for portability and proprietary add-ons.

We haven't seen many tablets at CES 2013 but Razer has introduced the Edge which it calls the world's first tablet designed for PC gamers. We took a look at the powerhouse tablet at CES so here's our Razer Edge hands-on review.
The Razer Edge is certainly a powerful tablet, but it's a high price to pay for what is a hefty device just so you can play PC games on the move.

Razer continued developing Project Fiona, which we saw at E3 last year, and it's turning into the Edge. We spent some time with it at CES, and ...
Of course, this fails to recognize the challenge presented by fitting a 32 W graphics processor, a 17 W host processor, and a complete platform into a handheld that isn't inconvenient to carry or outright dismal when it comes to battery life. Surely it...

The Razer Edge 5G doesn't do anything your Android phone can't already, but its a powerful cloud gaming handheld nonetheless.
Powerful specs Truly portable design Beautiful display 5G is ideal for cloud Great emulation potential
Loud fan Cramped design Pricey considering alternatives
“The Razer Edge is a powerful handheld for cloud gamers, but you probably already own something that can do what it does.”

The Razer Edge shines as a top Android-based gaming handheld thanks to its strong local and cloud performance.

The Razer Edge makes a lousy tablet, but it's a great gaming machine -- as long as you have an outlet nearby.
The most powerful tablet out there. Blazing-fast performance. Runs full Windows 8 and any PC game or app you desire. Murked-out styling. Great display
Laughable battery life. Accessories are a must, and that drives the already expensive price up. It’s too large, heavy and uncomfortable to carry around. Performance hiccups when hooked to an HDTV
