Lenovo Miix 510 review: A cheaper Surface Pro rival, but it lacks the battery life to keep up
Nippy performance ; Good screen and stylus ; Solid build quality and relatively lightweight
Sub-par battery life ; Annoying touchpad ; Expensive considering shortcomings

Can Lenovo's latest 2-in-1 take the fight to Microsoft's Surface Pro 4?
Beats Surface Pro 4 on price ; Has USB-C as well as USB 3.0 ; Included keyboard cover
No microSD ; Charger should be USB-C ; Average battery life
There are a couple of reasons (battery, screen) why you’d go for the Surface Pro 4 instead, but the Miix 510 offers an awful lot for the price.

First glance at the Lenovo Miix 510 and you'll be looking for the Microsoft logo. But no, this isn't the Surface 4, this is the Chinese maker's savvy take on the 2-in-1.

Lenovo's Miix 510 laptop/tablet hybrid is a solid alternative to the Microsoft Surface Pro at a much lower price.
It’s alarming that Lenovo has managed to get quite as close to the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 at half the cost here. High-quality build, a good screen, solid performance and a comfortable keyboard mean there’s nothing to let the side down and make the...

This is one convertible that's not afraid to Miix things up
Latest-gen CPU means snappy performance ; Bundled stylus is a nice extra ; Works great as a tablet, and as a laptop
Keyboard oddities rule out even basic gaming ; Battery ain’t amazing ; Screen resolution is lacking against the Surface Pro
It might be a mouthful, and lacking when it comes to pixel count, but the Miix 510-12IKB 80XE is still a hybrid hero.

The Miix 510 tablet PC looks a lot like its Microsoft competitor, but its unique features and a lower price could make it a better option.
The good-looking hinged kickstand has a lot of positioning flexibility. Has a USB-C port for video output and peripherals with adapters. Unlike Microsoft, Lenovo includes a generally excellent backlit keyboard cover. Lenovo's Active Pen and palm...
The fans can get a little too loud for quiet environments. No memory card slot for expansion. The Active Pen is a $40 extra and its included holder blocks the power jack. The tiny right-hand shift key is horrible.
The Lenovo Miix 510 is an excellent -- and more affordable -- alternative to Microsoft's 2-in-1 tablet PC. And it might be the better choice for you.

The Lenovo IdeaPad comes bundled with a handy detachable keyboard and Active Pen stylus, but is it worth considering if you're on the market for a Windows tablet? We sent the IdeaPad MIIX 510 off to our test lab to see if it's worth parting with your...

Lenovo's Miix 510 is an attractive Windows tablet/keyboard combo with top-notch performance and enough future-proofing that it can replace your current laptop.

The Lenovo Miix 510 looks like a worthy successor to the Surface Pro 4. Read on to find out if the premium look and feel of the silver magnesium-alloy unibody design is enough to seal the deal.
