HP ElitePad 1000 G2 review

Still doesn't come with a full metal jacket, but accessories once again provide the firepower

Bright, full-HD display ; Accessory selection ; Build quality

Port selection ; Poor stylus ; More expensive than rivals

The ElitePad 1000 G2's appeal increases tenfold when twinned with its accessories, which you'll need to transform the device into an above-average tablet.

HP ElitePad 1000 G2 review

The ElitePad is HP's answer to the iPad, a Windows tablet aimed specifically at business users. It has a 10.1-inch widescreen touch display, effectively equalling the regular iPad Air in size, and runs Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro.

If you need to work with Windows programs and need a totable tablet with almost usable battery life, the ElitePad fulfills the job. As a first-choice device that can serve in a laptop role too, it's rather underpowered and will have you yearning for...

HP ElitePad 1000 G2 review

The HP ElitePad 1000 G2 is a full Windows tablet that offers respectable battery life. It will double up as a laptop at a pinch, but here power is lacking. Read our full HP ElitePad 1000 G2 review to find out more.

HP ElitePad 1000 G2 business tablet

A Windows 8.1 tablet that is a major improvement over the previous ElitePad 900

1920x1200-pixel screen resolution ; Solid construction ; 4G

Lack of usable ports on the tablet itself

The ElitePad 1000 G2 is a major upgrade over the ElitePad 900, with the better screen, faster CPU and better battery life leading the way. It's a comfortable product to use due to its design, build quality and light weight, and it performs simple tasks...

HP ElitePad 1000 G2

The HP ElitePad 1000 G2 is a Windows tablet for business with solid performance and battery life, but the heavy reliance on accessories may hinder more than it helps.

Current Intel Atom processor offers solid performance. Serviceable chassis. Dozens of accessories let you tailor a tablet without having to order a one-off configuration.

Full functionality requires additional accessories. Atom processor can't compete with other Intel Core i5-based systems. Minimal on-board storage. Extremely limited port selection.

Conclusion If you simply want a usable version of Windows for Internet connectivity, data input and working with Word or Excel, the HP ElitePad 1000 G2 is a solid choice, but for more demanding uses, like editing media, rendering complex visuals, or...

HP ElitePad 1000 G2 Review

The HP ElitePad 1000 is a tablet built for business. Working with a 64-bit Intel Atom processor under the hood, Windows 8.1 up front, and both TPM 1.2 and HP Bios protection throughout, this unit is a true contender for the finest business...

The HP ElitePad 1000 G2 is not the sort of tablet you’re going to want to get if you want to show off to your friends with fancy new apps and fun, useless features. This is a business machine. HP didn’t make a toy here, they made a tool. If you’re...

HP ElitePad 1000 G2 (F1Q77EA) Tablet Review

Smart business idea? HP is not the first manufacturer to bring a slim 10-inch tablet onto the business market - but never before has this concept been realized that consistently: for around 1,000 Euros (~$1319), the buyer not only get Intel's fastest...

Review: HP ElitePad 1000 G2 (HSTNN-C78C)

When you talk about business grade tablets, there aren't a lot of choices, but HP's ElitePad 1000 G2 looks to provide a dose of shiny silver aluminium professionalism to those who aren't at all into Lenovo's black ThinkPad style.

Nice screen; Built very well; Can be upgraded using microSD; Supports 4G out of the box; Decent battery life for a Windows tablet;

Proprietary charge port; No USB ports on the tablet itself; Touchscreen isn't fast enough for fast typists; Sadly, there is no keyboard case, meaning you'll most likely be stuck typing using the onscreen keyboard; No 802.11ac WiFi;

HP ElitePad 1000 G2 business tablet

HP's business-centric ElitePad 1000 G2 tablet picks up the ball where it was dropped by the ElitePad 900. It has a more powerful processor at the helm, along with a larger allotment of RAM, it runs the 64-bit version of Windows 8.1, and it now has a ...
