Honor Pad 9 Review

 

The Honor Pad 9 is a great tablet made excellent at this price point. It's got everything you could possibly need from an Android tablet.

Big 120Hz screen ; Supports all of Google apps and services ; Affordable but reasonably powerful ; Looks great

No fingerprint sensor ; OLED would’ve been nice ; Cameras are bang average

The Honor Pad 9 is a slick tablet with decent performance and a lovely display at a reasonable price. It’s much easier to recommend now the company has buried the hatchet with Google too, marking it an excellent (and more affordable) iPad alternative.

Good luck getting a more well-rounded tab for less: the Honor Pad 9 takes the fight to Apple's entry-level iPad

Colourful and detailed screen ; Respectable hardware for the price ; Optional keyboard adds productivity chops

Battery life and charging speeds could be better ; Software update promise is nebulous ; Distinctly average cameras

The Honor Pad 9 looks slicker than its price suggests, and has decent performance to boot. It’s a tempting Android alternative to an entry-level iPad.

Thin and lightweight tablet for the size.

Just one major OS update planned.

We definitely enjoyed our time with the Honor Pad 9 and can offer it a hearty recommendation.
