EE Harrier Tab review

The new EE Harrier is one of the best budget tablets around

Good screen ; 4G mobile internet ; Light and handy feel ; Decent performance

Poor cameras ; Mediocre battery life ; Polarising design

A decent price, good screen and solid design make this a respectable budget 4G tablet. The cameras are pretty dreadful and the battery life pedestrian, but by essentially nailing the basics, the EE Harrier Tab is great to use 98% of the time.

EE Harrier Tab packs Android 5.1 and 4G, costs £200 on pay as you go

EE's latest bird of prey has an 8-inch wingspan and swoops into shops with a Full HD screen, an octa-core processor and 2GB of RAM.

I love how easy it is to use! Sleek design, very hardwearing and meets all my needs.

I marked down on performance for the Internet. Once a page is loaded, you have ot use the back button to exit the internet. This is a pain, as I often page-hop.

Nice size of phone

Battery barely lasts a day All the apps freeze and regularly have to be deleted and reloaded. The whole phone has frozen several times and had to be rebooted - not so simple as the battery does not just pop out like in older models

Amazing performance for the price. Allows external memory card. Not an iPhone. As close to stock Android as you'll get outside a Nexus device.

Camera is slow and not the best quality. Plastic construction can feel a bit flimsy at times.
