Is this 7in tablet a gateway device or for CrackBerry addicts only?
Smaller size is easier to handle ; Elegant design ; Feature packed ; Theoretically fast hardware
Performance too variable ; Unstable ; Limited app support ; Requires BlackBerry phone for email
Of course video chat is one option for the cameras and this is available on the PlayBook. However, it only works from PlayBook to PlayBook.

Multi-tasking powerhouse still needs an interface boost
1080p HD video playback ; Fast dual-core processor ; Bright screen ; Super cheap
Too few apps ; Small screen ; Clunky interface ; Weak battery
Update: With more price drops for the BlackBerry tablet, we've taken yet another look at the Playbook to see if it's finally worth the cash, in light of a 4G PlayBook coming later this year.

The BlackBerry Playbook is the new tablet computer from Research in Motion (RIM). With its high-end specs and features, and timeless design, it's a strong attempt by BlackBerry to break into the lucrative tablet market
The 7-inch form factor is perfect for RIM fans, while the design, build and OS are very good. However, sadly, this isn’t the tablet to break the Apple stranglehold. There’s no 3G option presently, the screen falls a little short and there just isn’t...

Well put together, clean interface, fine browser, good screen for video
No mail app, expensive for smaller size, performance can be beaten
Plenty on offer, but this will come into its own for BlackBerry users

BlackBerry has finally released its PlayBook 2.0 operating system bringing with it a host of new features -most importantly email and calendar options.
Email, Calendar, Contacts, Social, Android support, and the new BlackBerry remote really bring the PlayBook kicking and screaming into a tablet you might now consider.

Six months after it was first announced in San Francisco, Research In Motion's tablet is finally here. But has it been worth the wait, should you be resisting your urges for an iPad, and has RIM with its new operating system got what it takes? We've...

No apps, currently no email, no calendar, no contacts
Reading the US reviews of the BlackBerry PlayBook you would have thought that the launch of the company’s first tablet was a train wreck of massive proportions, a device that you shouldn’t touch with a barge pole. Strangely we don’t hold those views...

We were at the launch, we've seen stacks of information about the BlackBerry Playbook, and now we've managed to get some hands on time with the new tablet

The PlayBook 2.0's standout feature is its screen. It displays a 1024x600 resolution, with vibrant colours and impressive detail. Viewing angles are also excellent - an important factor on a screen this small. The touchscreen is accurate, responsive,...
The BlackBerry PlayBook 2.0 is a lovely device to hold and use. It’s small and light enough to carry anywhere, and the display is impressive. If BlackBerry could entice more developers to transfer their apps to the platform then it would be truly...

PlayBook OS 2.0 still isn't quite as rounded as Android or iOS, but it's got everything you really need for not a lot of cash
